Quantum KBN Promotion MasSolutions Enterprises Empty Promises Scam Charities Poor Work Conditions Waste of Time Woburn Massachusetts

So you're on Craigslist or Monster in need of a job, and stumble across a blizzard of ads for promotion companies. "Entry level", "Marketing", "Manager" are words that stick out and made me intrigued to apply. The company I shot my resume to was KBN Promotions in Woburn, MA. They got back to me in no time and we set up an interview. In the mean time, I looked at their website (which isn't up anymore), and was wondering why there wasn't really any substance or information about the company other than vague one-liners and promises.

I was hired but only worked one day. I knew, watching my co-worker run through a Panera Bread parking lot bugging people to buy D.A.R.E. T-shirts, that this and other pyramid scheme promotion companies are sketchy. Only 5% of sales go to the charities. Plus you can't go home after a 10 hour, 6 days a week, shift and feel good about yourself.

They promise that it only takes a year to rise up to manager and make 80K+. I doubt that's true. Starting out, you make minimum wage or 35% of what you sell, which is nothing. The people there seem nice, but are caught up in chants, bell-ringing, and other hype. They're just labor pawns used as a cheap way to make money for the owners.

I didn't get paid for the one day because I knew it would be a hassle. It's probably not even a licensed company with valid paperwork you're filling out. I just wanted out of there and not deal with "missing" forms, unreturned phone calls, or other excuses. I can't imagine what it'd be like getting deeper within the company.

I recently saw an ad for MasSolutions in Woburn (massolutionsent.com) and I believe it's the same place. Yet another source for misled and broken dreams.
