In 2012 there were six incidents in which Montreal police officers used their firearms, with a total of 10 shots being fired. In total six civilians were wounded including two deaths. Robert Henault, 70 years old armed with a knife was shot by police officers, who later died in hospital. In January 2012, Montreal police shot and killed Farshad Mohammadi, 34 years old homeless man in the Bonaventure Metro station who had immigrated to Canada from Iran. Montreal police also shot and killed 40 year old homeless man Mario Hamel and 36 year old bystander  Patrick Limoges in June 2011. In August 2008 an 18 year old Freddy Villanueva was shot and killed by the Montreal Police in a parking lot while playing a game of dice with his brother and their friends. Of the 43 cases documented going back to the mid 1980, only two police officers have ever been charged. Alan Gosset who killed Anthony Griffin in 1987 and Giovanni Stante who killed Jean-Pierre Lizotte in 1999. The rest have been all acquitted and even promoted. Police investigates police and protects each other’s backs. Gun allegedly pointed at man’s head by another Montreal Female Police officer who stopped a black man who entered his Honda which she verified and thought that this vehicle was stolen since the name of the owner was David Leveque of St. Eustache. Haitian have French names of which she was not aware. She ordered him to ground and handcuffed him when he showed her his driver’s permit that it is him then she released him. He filed a complain with the Police Commissioner who cleared officer Pelletier of all allegations, including illegal arrest, that she refused to identify herself, assault and not reading his constitutional rights. Quebec Police Ethics Commissioner is nothing but a bureaucratic organization that should be abolished since it does not protect the public. It is just a front that protects the corrupted Quebec Police Officers at taxpayer’s expense.
