This company is a FRAUD. First, the movers showed up 5 hours late to pick up my belongings in CA (causing me to pay extra rent because I could not get out by midnight). Next, they loaded MOST of my belongings on their truck (they told me they couldn't take some things because it would add to the cost). Then, once everything was loaded, they announced that the price was going to be about 40% more than the original quote. What was I supposed to do? They had all of my stuff loaded and I was moving to Texas in a few days. Once I arrived, in Texas, I called to discuss the overage charges and was told over and over that they would get back to me. I found my new home, called to let them know my address and ask for them to deliver my items ASAP.  They were storing it for me and I was told it would be "2-14 days" before they would deliver. It's now day 13 and I can't get ANYONE to answer my calls, return my messages, answer my text messages or respond to my emails. I'm looking into pursuing legal action against them

Quest Moving Lost Their Operating Authority

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 29, 2018

Earlier this month, Quest lost their ability to perform Household Good moves according to the Department of Transportation.  There are several posts on this website of people who are in the same boat as you are; given that  no one is returning phone calls, the great likelihood is that they're probably out of business.  Now you have a problem because you don't know where your goods are AND you have no one you can find who will tell you where they are.

At this point, you probably can't pursue legal action since the entity is probably out of business, and as an LLC, you may not be able to go after the owner personally.  You probably have to contact law enforcement in the state where their warehouse might be located - the best hope is that your goods are still in that warehouse.  I suspect if you do a Google map search of the FL office, then it's probably just an office building with no warehouse and no moving personnel.

Best of luck to you....
