I have service from Direct tv trhu Qwest on 24/04/2009 , first week of May, Direct tv stop service said that I did not pay for the bill!!! From the April 24/2009 to first week of May is not even 6 weeks yet but they already accused me from not paying the bill!!! By the same week , I call Qwest to make full payment for the bill , and I wait for 2 weeks later, I still not have direct tv have the service reactive!!!

I called direct tv and make a complain, they said I suppose to call them to have the service put back on, I ask why the person who take care of the bill did not tell me that I have to call directv to have the service reinstall , direct tv said its my fault. I do not think its my fault, when Qwest took my payment, they are the one who suppose to have my service reactive or if they wanrt me to call to have my service turn back, they should advice me to call direct tv to have my service reinstall, Then I ask them that my service was turn off since first week of May till now is 3 weeks, I did not watch any thing, do I still have to pay , Direct tv said yes I have to pay even the service turn off!!!

This is a real rip off. Customer paid 2 weeks ago, no service, still have to pay. Every thing is customer fault, not direct tv or qwest. I thought when I made full payment to Qwest, Qwest suppose to contact direct tv to have my service automatic reactive- but guess what- Customer have to do every thing- Qwest and Directv just take money and do nothing, even customer have no service, they dont care and customer still have to pay the bill even they do not have the service!!!

Its like you go to restaurant , order food, and go to kitchen and make your self a meal!!! One more thing. WHen I sign up for the service, I clearly said that my plan is choice packet $34.95 plus $24.95 for an additional international chanels,the final bill only around $60.00 ( I know what I can afford ) but when I received the bill, it show that I have a plan for $54.95 plus SHO for another $12.95 plus international chanel for $24.95 .

Its was $30.00 more than what I ask for !!! Wew Qwest and direct tv together can be a good team for pirate, one for air and one for sea rip- off. If any of Qwest tv or direct tv representative want to talk to me, just email me, I will withdraw my report when ever direct tv and qwest take care this matter seriously.

If you setup DirecTV service through Qwest then all billing is handled through them. DirecTV is partnered with AT&T/Verizon/Qwest/Fairpoint to allow consumers to bundle their services much like the cable providers such as Comcast. However, when these bundles are setup ALL billing is handled through the primary company (not DirecTV). DirecTV bills the company (Qwest, in your case) and in turn that company bills you. When services are disconnected it's at the other company's request. Qwest told DirecTV to shut you off due to nonpayment of some form. It could have been unbillable (they were unable to send you a bill due to an incorrect address) or uncollectible (you did not pay in full). Qwest/Verizon/etc. all credit the funds you send in to THEIR services FIRST and any funds left over go to DTV. Thus, your DirecTV bill will go neglected if you do not pay your balance in full with Qwest. From the sounds of it Qwest requested DTV disconnect services due to a balance owed to DirecTV that Qwest was unable to collect from you.

And about the pricing, since you aren't receiving your bills from DirecTV directly, you were unable to read the First Bill showing you have to go to the DirecTV website, submit a brief rebate that will put credits on your account to give you your discounted rate. The Choice package is 55.99 without the rebate. Once your rebate is processed you will receive a $21 credit (as advertised, I saw the commercial myself) for 12 months.

As far as services just reinstating automatically, they do reinstate when payment is made. However that is when services are interrupted due to being past due for 2 months. Your services were manually disconnected by DirecTV's RSH (Residential Special Handling) department so they had to be manually reinstated by the same department (you probably called customer service and they gave you a phone number).

i realize that with all the computers in the world. that you would think that when they receive your payment. that a human still as to type that into the computer system and that said computer would send out a rehit to turn your box back on. but here in the real world you still have to call them to get it turned back on. most companies still practice this. even the utilities require you to call in .when using another vendor to make your payments. i wouldnt hold my breathe either for directv replying back to you. ive been waiting 7 years to be reinstated as a dealer for them. but in all fairness . i did get a letter about 3 years ago . stating they could come out and install a comerical directv system in my satellite office for me. i guess me being in the business 25 years. doesnt mean anything.
