Anyone who is considering home remodel work, steer clear of Arizona Floor, Kitchen and Baths, also known as RL Knight Southern Mill (their contracting license is under this name), Southern Mill and is owned and operated by Richard Lawrence Knight.

Their workmanship is not only shoddy, still didn’t install the cabinets correctly, per the plans, after three attempts, they left our kitchen remodel unfinished, forcing me to hire someone else to pull all of the kitchen cabinets down off the wall and 3 of the floor cabinets off the floor to re-position them per the original drawing. While doing so, I discovered that most of the screws holding the above the counter cabinets to the wall were actually only screwed in to drywall rather than studs. One cabinet did not have any screws holding it up, but only relied upon the two adjoining cabinets for support.

Now, it is understandable that in some cases, a stud may not be available, or easy to find, but to just screw them directly in to drywall without any sort of anchor???

The installer I hired to redo the job was shocked and said we were lucky the above counter cabinets didn't come crashing down, destroying the cabinets, but possibly injuring us should we have been working near them at the time.

Moreover, after contacting the cabinet maker directly, I learned this company charged me for a cabinet that I have yet to receive. I am in the process of re-ordering and paying for it again, and this cabinet is over $900.00.

To add insult to injury, apparently this company wants me to pay for a sink I already paid for and plumbing that was part of the original job.

Proof that you don't always get what you pay for.
