R & M Medical Supply LLC Predatory Sales to Seniors, Medicare Ripoff Claymont Delaware

Beware of Medical Supply Companies holding meetings at your church, senior centers and community buildings. I am a caretaker for my elderly mother. She attended a meeting at the senior home where she lives, put on by R & V Medical Supply LLC of Philadelphia. The meeting was billed as a 'pain reduction seminar' with a healthcare speaker.

The speaker had attendees fill out extensive questionnaires on themselves including health questions and required their SS numbers. Unknown to my mother and other attendees, this company then ordered any and all medical supplies that could be connected to the conditions they cited, independently of the senior's own requests and independently of their personal physician's authorization.

My mother expressed interest in some shoe inserts for her diabetes. Imagine her suprise to receive a large box with a full body heating pad, ankle gauntlets for swelling, and two other items which remain unopened. Her physician called to say that this same company had shipped additional supplies to the Dr. office for my mother.

The physician would not approve these items and returned them. My mother tried to return her items and the company said medicare had already been billed and they would 'try' to pick them up within 30 days. Clearly this medicare ripoff had already been accomplished and no pickup occurred. Do not let medical supply companies order supplies for you or your loved ones unless they are first recommended and approved by your physician.
