I recently went to a website to find a puppy for my son who is not born yet.A female by the name of Anisha McDonalds contacted me and wrote that my response to her ad was a bit late but that she could refer me to her close friend who is currently in Nigeria. She explained that her friend lived in Indianapolis,Indiana and was a member of Christian Church(Disciples of God) and gave me an address also. She said that she currently was being transferred to West Nigeria and that before she left, she bought 3 yorkie puppies from her. She also explained that she was adopting them because the cost of taking care of them is too expensive there and also that the vets over there do not have adequate facilities. Well, I e-mailed her about 5 days ago and she responded very quickly she told me that she had 2 females and one male that are approximately 3 months old and weigh 2.2 lbs for the females and 2.5 on the male. She said that she was adopting them for 200.00 and 150.00 for the shipping. She told me that she includes:certified health certificate, vaccination, and worming record, copy of USDA paper,AKC registration application for puppy, its pedigree, tips on care, puppies guarantee, also the airline ticket, approved carrier, health certificate from her vet, food, and bottle of nutri-cal.She advised me that she had alot of people wanting to adopt the puppies and to let her know as soon as I plan on sending payment and contact details for immediate processing.Well, I sent her the money she received it and said that my puppy was being shipped in the morning and I never received the flight information.I e-mailed her I know 15 times already and also Anisha, but no response.I have all of the e-mails I sent and that she sent, and also the one Anisha sent.I also have the name of the church she supposively attends, the phone number to the church, along with the number she called me from.I will not let her get away with this and I do wish to have my money back.

Unfortunately this is a scam - NEVER SEND WESTERN UNION OR MONEY GRAM!!!

I hate to let you know that this is a scam. Anything that refers to Nigeria, wants payment by Western Union or Money Gram, etc.... is a scam.
I am also a victim of a scam for a pup. So don't feel bad. It is people with a big heart that get sucked in. Use it as armor.
I now will never buy a puppy without using escrow.com or puppyescrow.com or maybe paypal.com (only if I am VERY familiar with the person).
NEVER SEND WESTERN UNION OR MONEY GRAM!!! I know when you see a so called "good deal" it seems way too hard to pass up, but chances are it is a scam. Negotiate the form of payment. Check out escrow.com and puppyescrow.com. These are ways of payment that the money is held by a 3rd party until your receive your purchase, and the seller doesn't receive their money until you see and inspect your purchase and then sign for it. Once you sign for it, then they receive their money. If you decline, they don't get their money. It is worth looking at. Pass it on to your friends. I have learned a lot since I was scammed. I learned from it and have gotten to know a lot of new people in the process.
Also know that usually there are a lot of mis-spellings in the advertisements, and they are overly eager for their money. Their first e-mail to you contains, just as you received, "let me know when to expect payment". Because that is the only thing that will be taking place.
I know the feeling of being taken advantage of. You feel so vulnerable. DON'T!!! Make yourself a stronger person from it. I had to face my husband, four kids and the rest of my family and tell them that I was scammed after 72 hours of no sleep and just waiting for my doorbell to ring with my new baby, and sending money not once, but twice. Yep, twice. He called for a 3rd and I absolutely refused. So, I knew then that there were no pups and I would be out my money. I had to suck it up, cry for a couple of days, and get back on my feet. However, if you search under Persis Shafer, you will find what happened to me after the couple days passed.
Trust me, it's not always easy. But I have found you find a lot of true friend during the hardest times. I wish you the best of luck finding a sweet baby.
I hope I am not stepping out of the boundries by giving this to you, but the woman who sold me my sweet little Yorkie-poo is at pumpkinpatchpuppies.com NEVER buy from delightfulpups.com (read my report to see why)
I know there are a lot of reputable breeders out there. I just have not been able to find any except for pumpkinpatch, so if you know of other reputable breeders that will accept secured payment, good luck. You deserve to have a sweet little bundle of joy after this disappointment.
If you use pumpkinpatch, let her know I said Hi. She is so sweet.
I hope this has been helpful to you and anyone who reads this. Good luck and keep us informed.
