RACQ boat insurance is not worth the paper it is printed on. This company is very eager to take your premiums year after year but when it comes to processing a claim they will try any excuse not to pay as per the policy. My boat inboard motor was damaged due to fresh water rain pooling inside the boat during a rain storm. The automatic pump failed and the motor was submerged under fresh water. It took six months for the assessor to contact me and claim that the damage was caused by the motor not having its oil changed. 8 months later I am yet to receive any written notice that my claim has been denied. 

I recommend that consumers find a more reputable company to trust their assests with. I have moved my other insurances for fear that if anything happens to my house my claim will be denied due to not painting it recently. I would take them to court but I can't even get the company to formally deny my claim. 

Buyer beware and go elsewhere.
