I got a jet pack from radio shack in Ashland Ohio around May 12  2014.

I called version to get it activated. But it did not have a sim card in it. I returned it to the store and the manager insisted that it was activated. He was extremely difficult and stormed off to his office.

6 months later radio shack took over 400$ out of my bank account using my debit cards number. When I contacted them, they said that version submitted the charges for use on the jet pack.

I called version and they have no account information in my name. I had to give them my social security number to find an inactive account. The account was credited for any changes because the jet pack was returned.

How can radio shack do this? I don't make that much money and cannot afford to give it away for nothing.

You may have returned the item to RadioShack but YOU are still responsible for any charges incurred during your use of said item. If YOU had to give your social security number then the account WAS active and the device WAS activated at the time of your purchase. Odds are that YOU returned the item AFTER the 14 day time frame that VERIZON gives their customers. RadioShack gives you 30 days, NOT VERIZON!!!! Odds are that YOU not only used the data but returned it late by VERIZONS standards so YOU get charged. RadioShack was just the poor bastards that had to deal with YOU. From your own words....... When I contacted them, they said that version submitted the charges for use on the jet pack. So you DID use it. YOU probably used up all your data in a short time and blame everyone else BUT yourself. Grow up you mouth breather!! YOU are an adult and YOU have the responsibility to pay for YOUR toys.
