I have had a horrid experience with Raider Publishing International from the minute I signed a contract with them and made my full payment of the top publishing service they offered. In the beginning Adam Salviani contacted me and was very attentive to my needs. He responded to my many e-mails , some of them several times a day. When my full payment was made Adam Salviani disappeared on a vacation and put me on to another RPI representative, who also disappeared after a short while. I have been bounced around from employee to employee at RPI and have never received the service they promised.
The contract they offered tried to steal copyright ownership of my work however I was smart enough to copyright my work and register it before I submitted it to RPI otherwise I would not be able to use a paragraph of my work even if I wanted to. This made Adam Salviani very annoyed.
I paid extra to have my book published in 120 days yet almost a year had past and that was not done. Only when I reported RPI to the Better Business Bureau of New York did they hurriedly publish my book and send me free copies as stipulated in the contract. When I received my free copy I realized that the book was filled with spelling errors including my name and the edited version printed was not the one I authorized RPI to print.
Since publication I have not received quarterly reports as promised and when I requested they I was always given excuses as to why I could not receive these reports. When I finally received a report it was 3 lines long with less than 50 words. There were no details or statistics as I expected showing how the book was marketed (which I paid for) or actual sales from each location online. Whene I asked for details Adam Salviani told me that it would be impossible to give me such information.
My book was being sold online yet these sales were not reflected in the reports I received. Over the past year since my book has been published I have received barely US100 in royalty payments from RPI. Presently, I am due to receive a payment which they have refused to pay even after three weeks of me being notified. This payment came about as a result of me informing them that I had proof that sales were made other than that which they sent to me in there sales report.
Further I was told by Adam Salviani that 50 copies of my book was sold to my countries library yet I have received no payment for those and he eventually denied that this was so. The money I paid to RPI is close to US 3000 and am yet to see sales translate to profits or even recovery of that money.
When I indicated that I would take legal action against them and post my report online they then threatened me. I hope that the relevant authorities arrest and charge these people and bring them to justice. What they are doing is wrong and they should be immediately stopped. I thought I was the only victim but now I see that I am just one in many! I beg of someone to please help me, help us get justice and put Raider Publishing International out of business.
