Rain Soft AKA Discovery Marketing ripoff misrepresented and misinformed Altamonte Springs Louisiana

I am a Discovery Marketing employee for severals years, and this kind of ignorance appears time to time when people have buyers remorse. I notice that customer find absolutely normal to pay financing charges when they buy a car or other items from department stores, they never make the compte how much interest they pay to be home owne, but when it is question of RainSoft they find scandalous to pay the finance company . Do they know department stores compte around 23 percent interest in their stores cards?

I'm not saying that water softening systems are bad. I have one installed in my home now (NOT from Rainsoft) and I love it.

All I'm saying is that there are much better companies to go with. When the Rainsoft rep was at my house in Orlando back in 1995, they wanted a total of over $3000!!! Plus they wanted me to buy all of their cleaning products.

You can go to Sears and get their top of the line model for $800. And salt is not expensive ($5 a bag).

It was my experience that Rainsoft uses scare tactics (i.e. your water if full of pollutants!) in order to sell you a WAY overpriced water softening system.

By the way, how much are you paying for your system? I would be curious to know how much you got taken for.

Anyone can give an opinion on what products they feel are good. But, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST! Rainsoft DOES have the best product for the money. No other watrer treatment company offers what they do in terms of quality, service, and warantee. Find another company that provides a lifetime guarantee...you won't find a single one.

A Rainsoft rep came to my house to do a water test, and showed my husband and I what is in our water. It did scare us a bit, and we bought a system. It has a made a world of difference, and we are absolutly sold on the savings and benefits. If you don't believe it, DON'T BUY IT!!!! They don't force you into buying anything. Take your gift and let that be it. But please, don't belive the ignorance of lack of knowledge. The rep told us that Rainsoft equipment is in NASA...so we checked it out,...and they weren't lying. If NASA engineers approve of the product, I am all for it!!!

NEVER, EVER buy any water softening products from RainSoft. Many years ago, a rep called my home and offered us a free steak dinner just to have someone come out to do a "water test". They spent 3 HOURS!!! telling us how bad the quality of our water was and how their water softener and cleaning products were so much better. All for the low, low price of $3000+.

People, go to any home improvement store and you will find that a good quality water softener only costs $300-$400. Add another few hundred for installation. The only thing you have to do from there is add salt. Far from the money RainSoft wants. Hell, even Wally World sells water softeners now!

This scam is as bad as the door-to-door vacuum salespeople. If a RainSoft rep calls your home, politely tell them you are not interested and ask to be taken off their call list. By law they are required to remove your name and not call again. And if you have registered on the national "Do Not Call" list, they shouldn't be calling anyway.

Run away from RainSoft as fast as possible, lest you want to feel a lot lighter in the wallet area.
