I came across this website after having my own dealings with RALPH MURRIETTA with NATIONAL SHUTTERS but also does business under ROYALITY SHUTTERS. He came to my home 9/2010 when I called DuraShutters for an estimate. He showed me 1 product which I didnt like at all. He then asked me if I was certain I did not like this product, when I said I was certain, he brings out other products which he said was from his own business. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY WARNING AS TO HIS ETHICS. I loved the product and the price he gave me. He even went as far as to install 1 window prior to any down payment to see if I liked it. AGAIN I LOVED THE WINDOW. Then my headache began. I gave him $3000.00 half of my order cost. 2 weeks after getting my $3000.00 he calls me to tell me my check was nsf, i called my bank and they dissagreed, and said that there has been no hit on my account and that my check for 3000.00 had not even cleared my account. I called him and he said that there must be a confusion and that he would need a money order/cashiers check before placing my order. So I mailed him a cashiers check for $3000.00. 3 days after he cashed the check did my bank call me and ask me if I new a man by the name of RALPH MURRIETTA? We talked for a while and I then found out that the bank clerk accidently paid him from the banks fund on 9-10-2011. That they need to speak to him immediately to get their $3000.00 back. keep in mind he now has $6000.00- 3000 from the bank and 3000 from me. I called him to tell him and he said he would call them to clear it up. It is now 10 months later and he has never given the money back to the bank. As for my shutters. he gave me every excuse why they did not arrive. They didnt get shipped from china, they didnt come to the port..... OMG I dont even remember all the rediculous excuses I got. The idiot even offers me my money back via email since he said that him and I are not ment to business together, I completely agree with him since then I have not heard from him again. I have taken him to small claims court and won - he didnt show up. this man is a living nightmare. If you want missery in your life.... then do business with this man, otherwise stay clear. THIS IS NOTE A FALSE ACCUSATION. Also be ware that him and his son have the exact same name, so he plays games with that. he is SENIOR AND THE SON IS OF COURSE THE JUNIOR. Ralph sr is about 5'5" 250+# whereas his son is 19 years old tall and slender. He even used his sons name to run his bank accounts through so when the bank then takes him to court, they actually are having to deal with the son. WHAT A HORRIBLE MAN AND FATHER. BY THE WAY HE HAS MOVED FROM THE BUENA PARK ADDRESS...... SHE COULD NOW BE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. IF YOU RUN ACROSS HIM, LET ME KNOW, IM LOOKING FOR MY $3000.00 PLUS INTEREST

That is such a funny comment, I got NOTHING FOR $3000.00. So who got something for nothing.... I believe that is you. Im sure the IRS will like to know how much money you are making.

I am Ralph Murrietta Jr. not Ralph Murrietta Sr. I am the person that this complaint is about. I did have a company named National Shutters. I was the sole owner. I was struggling in an economy that was and is very rough. This complaint is from Linda Macintosh.
What Linda is failing to mention, is that we did a spectacular $6000.00 job for her best friend. Her best friend did pay for her shutters. (No problems with bounced checks)
What Linda is also failing to mention is that we installed another spectacular $5500.00 job for her best friends next door neighbor. Her best friends neighbor paid for her shutters. (No problems with bounced checks)
I put my best foot forward with this woman (Linda Mcintosh) and offered to install one small window for her in "good faith". However, it wasn't a small window that I installed it was the largest window in her house that LInda INSISTED that I install or "I wasn't going to get her order". "I DID".
Linda then mentioned her husband Tom Macintosh worked for the Azusa School District at Charles Lee Elementarty and that if she could fix it for me to get the job selling installing the vertical blinds at that school, she wanted a $500.00 commission. After Tom Mcintosh (Linda's husband) told me what price the competitors had given the school district, he also told me what price I needed to give the school district to win the job. Not realizing Linda's greed, I gave the school district Tom's price and I won the job. I then gave Linda the $500.00 dollars in cash.
THEN, surprisingly, Linda did bounce a $3000.00 check on me!!!
Subsequently, I put a stop on production of her order!
As it stands now, all Linda has to do is pay for her shutters.
Instead she would rather lie and try and get something for nothing!
As to my son Ralph, he is falsely implecated by this vindictive woman and he has nothing to do with any of this.
Through my 28 years of faithful service to this industry, I have served thousands of customers and made each and everyone of them very satisfied and happy.
I will admit, like in any established long term company, I have had a couple of customers that no matter what I did, I just couldn't please them. Linda Macintosh is one of them. However, I am happy to respond to anyone interested in this attempt to tarnish my great reputation in this industry.
