I brought my car on 3/07/09 for a FORD factory recall to be done. When I gave my car to them everything was in working order. I got my car back that afternoon and after returning home from running errands I noticed I had no brake or turn signal lights. Now the recall was for replacing the brake master cylinder pressure switch. I take the car back and call me 2 hrs later saying the turn signal switch was bad and would cost $479. I flipped out!! The service dept. botches the job and wants me to pay! They insisted the problem wasn't related;OH REALLY! the lights worked just fine when I dropped the car off. Well, round and round we go and they lower the bill to $230 and act like they're doing me the biggest favor in the world!!! The techs working on my car are hacks and service mgr is a crook. My "free" recall switch replacement (which was botched) cost me $230. Planet Ford service dept are thieves and liars!! Stay away because you will be RIPPED OFF.

I wish to say I am sorry for my grammar. We had to take the baby to the hospital and I did not have time to proof read the post. What I wanted to say is that I don't trust the customer I will try to prove that he/she is right but they lie more than any one dose. Even in your post when you said it worked for you when you tried it. I have seen so many people lie about the side shops diagnoses. So even now I am a maybe you are telling the truth. If they gave your money back than you have a good dealer just request a different technician. My Fixed right the first time last year was 96%. But you don't have to believe me you like me can't prove the others words.

I do not believe people because I have been laid to my too many customers. Even if someone gets an opinion of a nether shop, I will only think it is possible. I have had 20 people say they did not spill drink in their control panel and I would remove it and get coffee to come out. Customers lie more then technicians.

I love having fun on this place. But I doubt they sabotaged your car the CV boots would have been easier to sabotage buy putting you car on a lift and use a razor blade to cut the boot that one is over 15 years old the other one is put oil on the struts. Those are far more of a moneymaker. Their are other ways a crooked monkey would scam you. What probably happened is you already had a loose connector and the light stopped working after the repair. He forgot a step in diagnoses and that is look for loose connectors. They would not have replaced a good switch with a good switch if they wanted your money they would have just left the good one in and gave you a bad one. I have seen lots of things happen just after some one leaves the shop (like an ignition coil fails)

First off I am an Audi tech. I have never worked at a Ford Dealer. But I have been to Ford school 5 years ago. I will say you are right you don't have to Remove the steering wheel on a Ford ( you do on an Audi) I did the clock spring on my wife's Focus and to diagnose the turn signal problem I removed the turn signal switch About 2 years a go. Most Techs are honest more so at dealers. Dealers just charge more. With that said I still say you are a liar and want free work. That recall repair has nothing to do with your switch.

You must be one of the HIGHLY qualified techs for Ford. My vehicle was sabatoged by their service dept. I took home my old turn signal switch and plugged it in my car and guess what?.....it WORKED just fine! They told me it was shorted. I even duplicated the problem on my car by removing the upper wire connector from the turn switch. My steering column cover was misaligned when I received my car (after doing the recall),so I know they were fooling with my switch!!! By the way the steering wheel doesn't need to be removed to replace the turn switch,it's no wonder your probably employed as a Ford tech!! I believe this is what dealers call "generating revenue". It's obvious Planet Ford makes very little money doing the recall so they PAD the work needed!! Nothing new for dealers accept I caught them, most people don't. Remember......There was NO problems when I brought my car in for the recall and magically my switch "shorted" after I got it back...B******T!!!!!! I'm not looking for free work, but I know when my cheeks are getting spread apart!

This repair has nothing to do with the recall. They did not remove your steering wheel. Unless you can provide a link to how the repair was done you are just trying to get Free work. I see It all the Time.
