It is unfortunate that this did happen to all involved however your representation of the event is not 100% accurate and we needed to clarify so the story is clear.  The fact that you also threatened us to pay you $10,000 before you filed this report is also sad.  The fact that we were found innocent of any wrong doing by a third party ethics committee by the Orange County Board of Realtors should speak volumes.    

First and foremost we are sorry to have involved you in the online deception of this third party "Cash Rewards".  As you were a friend of my son’s Chase, at the time of your purchase, Chase was your agent with your transaction and I had nothing to do with the actual transaction. Since I actually had nothing to do with the event I am saddened that you included me in the complaint.  I am also unclear as to why you also named my son-in-law who has not ideal who you even are!  Having said that, I feel compelled to also voice an opinion as to the total innocence of my son Chase who was your great agent at the time yet "duped" by Cash Rewards as we all were. 

We as The Ora and Cole Group with Prudential California Realty, did offer you the certificate you are referring to only after our attorneys at Prudential had approved the company of Cash Rewards.  And at that time, only after they checked the legitimacy of the Cash Rewards program did we award you a thank you gift as we represented it to be.  Cash Rewards unfortunately fooled us all.  My son Chase, My son-in-law Gabe, myself and most important the legal team at Prudential, our broker at the time did confirm the company Cash Rewards a viable entity.  As a result the owner of Cash Reward is in federal prison as a result for running the deceptive program that cost us thousands in the purchase of the certificates for our clients, yet our clients including you paid nothing out of pocket. 

You may also remember that we never charged you anything but actually deducted the amount you are referring to from the credit my son offered to assist you with on your closing fees in the purchase of your home in the amount of over $6,000.  In that Chase did provided you a credit of this amount because of your friendship at the time I feel that you are not justified in your statements that he or anyone on my team ripped you off. 

Most important; due to the potential seriousness of the allegation of your complaint, my son Chase, my son-in-law Gabe (also included) and I appeared before the ethics committee governed by the Orange County Board of Realtors due to the serious nature you represented us to be involved with.  At that time we were found completely innocent of any involvement of deception or wrong doing and to this day have a flawless record with the Bureau of Real Estate in the State of California.
