I was called on by this person working for Retriever Company a credit card processing company.  Showed up and looked at my bills from my former processing company and compared it to his company Retriever Merchant Solutions.  I was told all transactions from Retriever were 5 cents each no matter how much the amount $1 to any amount.  Was also told that the Credit Card Processing machine would have to be leased to get the great deal with his company Retriever Merchant Solutions.   I was explaned by Raymond Topps that Leasing was (part of the package) I asked him if I could use the machine I was already using or buy the machine I needed, I was told no.  I asked more than once.   The explaination for that was that it was part of the package deal.  He keeped explaining that I would be saving $1500 to $2000 a year even after I paid the $70 dollars a month lease and that money collected for the lease was part of why 5 cents was all his company Retriever charged.

 Moving forward about 4 months.  First Raymond Topps has never called me back or talked to me again.  The c Retriever company never made it right.  Retriever also told me the lease of the credit card processing machine was not part of them and they could not do anything about the NON CANCELLABLE LEASE I had signed and now was paying.   Retriever Merchant Solutions charged me more for  processing credit cards than my previos company I was using.  That $1500- $2000 that I was suppost to save I was loosing plus the now $80 dollars a month for the lease of the credit card processing machine.  Extra ten dollars for insurance for the machine even though I have insurance though my store to cover the credit card processing machine. 

I have lost several dollars because of this person lying to me and his con.  Retriever is a company I would stay away from and The lease company don't care and have not been human at all..

I could easly get a hold of him before he sold me this.  He called me several times pushing me until the day it was all done and he had me locked in and I never heard from him again.   He's right I agreed because he had convinced me telling me how much money I was going to save moving from my long time provider and the lease was to my benifit.  Soon things went south I called and called and never I repeat never got a call back after the dirty deed was done.  This is the first I heard from Raymond Topps since he ripped me off. I never saved any money at all, it cost me money and how.  

I asked him point blank and I have witnesses that I wanted to purchase the credit card machine and he told me I couldn't.  I should have walked away then. What he was telling me all made since.  Five cents per transation never happened and Retriever never made it right with the lease they acted like they had no clue. I was paying more substantualy more.   Raymond Topps has mastered ripping people off he owes me about $4000,00 dollars extra I had to pay.  Do you think I would willingly want to loose money agree to something that cost me more money. My new provider supplies the credit card machine for free.

I would like to start off by saying I have been in the merchant services industry for 18 years and have signed up 1000s of small to mid sized business in the midwest and have never had a complaint about how I conduct myself before, during and after the sale.  I have a recolation of this individuals business and I believe he was a weapsons store.

I went through the normal sales presenttion with him and he liked what I had to offfer and I signed him up. As far as his complaint goes its very incorrect. When we sign up a new merchant there is a verfication call that is completed and recorded, and recorded with the merchants cosent. They account manager goes over the pricing and the term of the contracct. Then the merchnat ageees or disagrees.

If they agree we move forward and get them processing with RMS, if they decline the verbal verfication we send UPS to pick up the termianl and close the account. This merchant agreed to everything without hesistation. He agreed to the pricing of 0.25% +5cents + INTERCHANGE, He also agreed to the terms of the lease for a 48 month period. We did nothing wrong, I did nothing wrong.

I spoke with this merchnat a couple months and he wanted to go with a different company because they claimed that tey would save them 100s per month and they would give him a free macine. After being beraded by this merchnt multiple times I did stop taking his calls because I didnt want to be yelled at, also we werent given the opportunity to help him out because all he did was yell at us. I apologize this merchant had a bad experience with RMS and wish we could have helped him more.

We service almost 40K merchants daily and have a A+ rating w the BBB. We have a excellent repuataion in the industry, and so do I. I am currently serving my second term on the advisory whch my 1st term I was elected by my fellow sales rep and this time around I was appointed by the President of the comopany. I am also a group leader of 30+ sales reps on a daily basis. I would noit have these opportunities if I was a liar and a cheat, like this merchnat claims i am. I am a honest sales rep.
