Bought a dedicated server from Razor servers (razorservers.com) in March 2011 when they offered free ipad2 after 3 months of payment. They advertised the offer on a popular web hosting forum  http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1030347&highlight=razorservers.

I have made 6 payments so far and I am yet to get an iPad from them or even hear from them. They even changed their terms of the promotion twice after I got the server from them. They claim 24x7 support on their website but support tickets go unanswered for 7 days! I doubt if they have even a single intention of shipping the iPad they promised to any of their customers who fell for this bait. Apple estimated shipping date for iPad2 is 1 to 3 business days as of July 25, 2011.

The free offer is nothing but a false advertising. Their support is non-existent. Their WHT ad http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1030347&highlight=razorservers still mentions free ipad2 after 3 payments. I filed a complaint with FTC (FTC Complaint# 31724157) and will be filing a complaint with State Attorney General shortly.

The iDrac's are only given out when a customer has lost access to the machine
and our support staff is not familiar with the program causing the issue.
The time alloted to the iDrac is also limited.

Its been really a very disappointing experience with razor servers. Not because
of the network. Infact you have a good network but you just didn't keep up
your words. Its been about 6 days and still no reply to my emails. I had every
intention to continue using your service however I am having 2nd thoughts on how
much I can trust and depend on razor. How about posting in your WHT post that
you cannot keep up your words and no ipad will be shipped and just refund all my
payments. I will take my business elsewhere.

Its been 7 days since I asked for the update and no response from them yet.

Note to future buyers: Research before you buy servers from them.

i used razor servers about 14 months ago during the ipad promotion never got mine either never got my support never got a phone call they never picked up the phone there servers were great but there support was bull s**t matt kelly is a scum bag.

If you read my complaint right above your post, On May 26, 2011 (Over 2 months back) you mentioned you will process the iPad order. If you had ordered the iPad then, I should have received it by now considering Apple is now taking 2 to 3 business days to ship the order. If you order usually around month beginning (like you said in your email to me yesterday) which would have been Jun 1st (or 1st week),  I should have again received it by now. It's 2 months since you said you will process the order. Now you claim you planned to order today, on a Sunday!! 2 months after you said you will order!!

I am not referring to change of promotion from free iPad to raffle style. It's not relevant to me. I am referring to change in terms of your promotion after I signed up. You advertised free iPad after 3 months payment. If you again look back to my complaint and I quote again

Isn't this change of terms of your promotion? My July payment went out in June end and few days back I even made August payment and you are still "planning" to process my order. My support ticket went unanswered for 7 days and if not for this complaint I am unsure if I would have gotten any reply.

I am not being unreasonable. I am asking what I was promised after 3 payments and what you advertised. I have made 6 payments so far.

Now who is making false claims?

Ace International LLC makes false claims

At the end of June Kiran of Ace International LLC was informed that Apple had a two to three week back log on orders for the ipad2.  We typically order them in bulk once per month for clients who signed up for the free iPad promotion.  Kiran of Ace International LLC iPad would have been ordered this month but we are now dealing with Kiran of Ace International LLC flying off the handle and making libel posts about us that simply aren't true.  We have many other clients who signed up and received their iPads without issue and can attest to that.  

We did indeed change the promotion a month or two ago to a raffle style give away rather than one per customer.  It does not change the promotion Ace International LLC signed up for though.  

I would also like to mention that Kiran of Ace International LLC continues to use our service to this day and in fact, paid his August 1 bill.  He appears very happy with our service.  Unfortunately, we can not control Apples delivery and stock of iPads.
