Readymag fraud, scam and spam using pohne number- 1-(866)362-8280.

I was having trouble with trying to connect my Brother printer to my computer. I googled 'brother tecly by an Indian fellow claiming to be from Brother printer support. He asked the model of the printer and asked me to download teamviewer so he could remotely control my computer. I am relatively tech savvy, and thought this was a bit odd, but I went along with it anyway. He opens up a page with a bunch of error messages and tells me that it is malware that has corrupted the network and that I won't be able to print on the network- any devices that have been connected have the malware. I showed him that I have BitDefender installed and running, but he said that I need to get a special program called "anti-maleware bytes." How much? $199.99. I tell him where he should go and that I'd rather just buy a new bloody printer and hung up.

Anyway, so I go on the Brother website and call support through there. After holding a new tech support rep helped me solve the issue- it took about 3 mins. It was a simple port issue. I told him about my previous experience and he said that they are not associated with Brother.

So I google the phone number I dialed and I find tons of websites claiming many manufacturers- HP, Dell, Kodak, etc. I view the page source and it says the page is by a "pranay ashish." I'm not sure if this is an Indian name of a person or a company... readymag.com/u93348374

and so many post on google of readymag only for spam

Anyway, I just hope no one else actually falls for it and gets scammed. I called the number back about 10 times to ask how the representatives sleep at night, was relieving.
