My husband and I stayed at the Gran Porto Real in Playa Del Carmen with our children in February 2005. After a few days of our stay we were approached in the lobby by Arturo Gayol who works for Premier Holiday. And as a courtsey for our purchase we received 2 free weeks all inclusive.
Well when I went to book that trip first they had no record of our contract and then they said they would not honor it. I have filed reports with the business bureau in Mexico, to no avail not even a return email from them. We are now out 8000.00 and nothing to show for it. We purchased thru AMEX and they said there was nothing they could do (do you believe that).
We were completely taken advantage of and the Hotel should be just as responsible as they were doing business in their lobby. I have contacted the Hotel several times also no reply.
They really do not care.

I've spent a lot of money and i was scammed by other companies trying to cancel my timeshare. My advice is that if you're going to hire a company to help you with the problem, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, because it use to be a fraud. I did a research on internet and i found some interesting articles, i recommend you to read this one:
