Realization Center MarilynKatie Walsh Emotional Abuse, Neglect, Violation of Rights New York New York

This is the utmost horrible place ever. I had a counselor Katie Walsh who was very mean. I have individual sessions to tall about my life trauma and issues. I mentioned my brother who hasn't spoken to me in 5 years and she says "Am I here to help you or your brother? ". One time I had a horrible day and did not feel comfortable sharing it with her so she became very vindictive stating "Well if you dont tell me I will take you out of group and ask everybody im group what happened to you" I stormed out very upset and requested to be changed to a different therapist. The CEO Marilyn NEVER called me back. My experience here made my mental condition worst and I have been very manic for the past few weeks. Yvette who facilitates group cuts me off at 1 minute of speaking and lets others speak fpr 20 minutes. I knew one person's entire life story yet they tell me I can't speak for long because everyone has to go. So O became upset and wanted to leave, they did not let me and I exploded om THREE occassions. YET blame me when I initially decided to leave peacefully and they forced me to stay which caused my explosion. I came in and was thrown into a meeting I was unaware of so I was uncomfortable to speak especially without being prepared to talk to many people at once.

Lastly they switched my counselor and on the day I was to have my first sessiom with her I had a psychoatry appointment. They decided without my presence which is VIOLATION of my rights to terminate my treatment "because they cannoy deal with the emotions coming out of my sobriety" which is misleading as told by my attorney AFTER the therapist KATIE WALSH was unprofessional and not therapeutic. AFTER MARILYN DID NOT CALL ME TO ASK WHAT WAS GOING ON BETWEEN MYSELF AND KATIE. They automatically took her word and terminated me. Without effective referrals. Every referral they gave me was a 6 month wait. I had plans to ask my psychiatric Dr for sleeping medication because I became very manic, only slept 3 hours a night for the past two weeks, I am caring for a small child where I have been doing a great job but my self care is horrible due to the negligence of this place. I truly feel I am on the verge of losing my child if I don't get the help I need.

I have left this place very angry and even in tears because of Katie. She apologized once for her behavior which proves she KNEW she was WRONG. I asked for grievance group since I lost my mom at age 13 and I asked to be put in parenting group to improve my skills with myb2 year old and was DENIED that by Katie. All they did was place me in Sober Living groups and I had NO PROBLEM STAYING SOBER it was my underlying issues I needed help with and they turned me away. I made several reports with different places including OASIS. If you have issues AVOID THIS PLACE.
