RealtyReal Realty 3.9% ON COMMISSIONS BUT THEY DONT DO MUCH ELSE!!! Naperville Illinois

We decided to use this company because we knew we would be taking it in the rear in today's housing market. They advertised 3.9%, so we thought wow cool save a little money. no my friends actually it ended up costing us $4,000. Their realtors give you no advise. They typical comment is "ask your lawyer" Don't most realtors give you an idea of how much a house is going to cost you to sell?? My realtor said "I stay away from giving any advice when it comes to dollar amounts" I know I have spoken to two realtors and my lawyer since then and they advised yes they should work something out that give me an idea of what the closing costs will be.

These realtors have no knowlegde of neighborhoods so they can't help you market your home very well. Our agent went on vacation for a week and we had advised we were out of flyers even before they went on vacation. The response was " If they really want to see the house they will call". Well perhaps thats true but alot of people want to see what they are calling about first.

After some pushing they said they would send someone from the office to bring them. Never happened, so a week later I made my own flyers. When I spoke again with the realtor when they returned from vacation to let them know I had made my own they said "I had no idea your street was so busy" Of coarse they didn't because they know not of any areas nor did they bother to find out. I am not sure, maybe not all of their realtors are like this, but maybe they are.

My bottom line is check your realtor out before you sign up. Some really bust butt to help you, others are just glorified customer service reps that rake in the $$$ for nothing.
