In November 2013 I initially contacted RealtyTech by phone requesting the creation of a company website which had the function of an agent page where the agent could attach a domain name to the page, place it on Google Adwords so people could view the homes on their agent page and capture leads for themselves, then manage the leads in their own lead management system.I gave examples of specific model websites to the salesman, Mr. Lance Grove at RealtyTech over the phone and via email. We reviewed these sites over several phone discussions to clarify the specific functions I required in my own site.

I was assured by Mr. Grove that he could produce a site that served these functions. I was assured this could be done within four weeks. I was told I had to sign a 1 year agreement for service with them and pay the full fee of $2099.00 before they would begin building the website. Two months later, RealtyTech delivered a website that does not have the ability for agents to have the prospects search for homes on their agent page and then become a lead for them. This function was the backbone of my website order.

RealtyTech now states this function was never promised and says they do not have the capability to complete this order without charging me much more than I agreed to. I immediately tried to cancel The website order but the company will not allow me to stating I signed a year contract for service which they will hold me to even though the website was rejected upon delivery and was never used. They have gone a step further and now have a collection agency contacting trying to collect this fraudulent debt and is threatening to ruin my credit.

As of now they have taken my $2099.00 for a website I cannot use and are trying to get another $1,000.00. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and they are now investigating RealtyTech. The resolution I am seeking is a full refund of my initial $2099.00. Also I would like them to have the collection agency stop contacting me for a bill of service which I never used.
This has left me feeling very violated and vulnerable seeing how a company can take your money, not deliver what they promise, then try to ruin your credit without any checks or balances.

Untrue Rebuttal

AUTHOR: chrisc1599 - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 13, 2014

RealtyTech has made no attempt to resolve this issue other than sending it to a collection agency. Also, service was not deactivated as they claim. It was never started. The website was rejected at creation. To hold someone to a service contract for a website that was not done properly shows just how out of touch this company is with their clients. Their continued arrogant attitude and attempts to insult me also shows the business culture they have over there and also falls in line with their unscupulous behavior so far.

I have filed a complaint with the California Dept. of Justice Consumer Fraud Div. as well as other websites such as Fraud.org. I am currently also filing a formal complainty with the FTC. I will continue to file complaints with as many agencies as I can. This company cannot be allowed to get away with this kind of behavior.

Client Wants Free Services

AUTHOR: RealtyTech - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 13, 2014

This particular client did speak with our Sales Associate and ordered/signed a contract (which we have provided him a copy of) for one (1) office website with home search engine service. He was provided sections within the website that each agent in the office would have a page within this singular website with listings, custom search links, lead routing, the ability for agents to go in and change their bios and pictures, and he wanting a similar design to another real estate agency.

There was a short delay in the completion, but we provided a full month's refund to compensate for the lost time.Once the services were rendered and completed, the former client then contacted us showing us another company's website that provided each and every person their own separate website, which he now wanted. We advised him that this was something that we could definitely create, but that he would have to pay additional setup fees and pay for these individual sites. The client became irate and did not want to pay anything more. We are a business and do not provide free services.

The website that we provided him had every item that was originally discussed and was stated on the contract. The fact of matter is, he saw something else he liked, wanted out of his signed contract and wanted all his money back, so he could go with this other company and found that slandering our name and threatening to reverse payments, which the bank has also refused to give him since the contract clearly states he signed for the creation of one website only, as the best way to go about it.

His services were later deactivated because he failed to make any further monthly payments and made attempts to reverse payments, which again he was denied by his own bank. We have tried to compromise with him to part ways on good terms, but the client has refused all offers. He has been forwarded to the collections process for defaulting on his signed contract.

Our Sales Associates are upstanding people in the community and our goal is to be upfront as possible with our clients. If we cannot offer or provide you what you are looking for then we will try to point you, at least, in the right direction. However, if you ask for something, sign a contract for something, and receive what you asked for, it is completely unprofessional and dishonest to repeatedly try to damage a good company's reputation like a child having a temper tantrum at the grocery store.
