Reaser Enterprises - Dba Mr Handyman ripoff-4 hour scheduled plumbing job turned into 13 hours Vista California

Job asked to be done was to replace existing bathroom fixtures which included replace bathroom sink faucet & drain pop-up, tub shower head, tub spout, handle, & tub overflow plate and drain. We thought 4 hours was a long time and the phone scheduler said it would be under $500. I thought that was a little high too but wanted the fixtures installed that we bought. The technician they sent (thats what they call them) was on time, 8:00 am, but as time went on it was getting obvious he was incompetent to do the job.

I could not believe the truck was still there when I arrived home from work at 5:00 p.m. The only thing that was installed was a shower head, tub spout and the pop-up drain in sink. He also redid the angle stops etc. under sink. (not correctly as we found out later and not asked to do). He was trying to install the tub/shower handle (one handle style). He could not stop his plumbling work in the wall from leaking. Around 6:00 p.m. the sales person, Kathy, called to say she was sending someone else to help. Mike arrived around 7:00 and got the leak stopped and put the tiles that were chipped now back into the wall around the fixture which looks awful. finally was able to turn the water back on after being off all day. Around 9:30 they left and did not install the sink faucet or the tub overflow and drain. Then the next morning, husband is taking a bath and discovers the shower handle is coming out of the wall at a angle instead of straight! It works but come on, this is not right! So now we have partial chrome fixture and the old ugly antique gold in the tub and the sink. Called another plumber to finish job as I would not let Mr, Handyman touch any else in my house.

Plumber discovers a leak under sink due to the pop-up seal was installed behind rather then in front where it belonged and when the nut was screwed down it broke the seal. Could not just buy that little part, had to get a whole new pop-up assembly. He also had to replace the water line to faucet because it was too short. Took 2 hours to finish and only charged $135. I called Kathy Reaser and told her someone needed to come out and look at this faucet coming out of the wall crooked. I asked her two times and she said she would after she talked to Mike. That was on February 7th, never called back. I have asked for a partial refund. I know if they looked at this job they could not say it was professionally done. My house just lost some value because of this.

They even wanted to come back and finish the job and charge more! We were ripped off and they do not seem to care. If you go to their web site, they advertise how experienced and professional the techs are with complete background.
