Rental deposit was not fully refunded as promised. Landlord has kept funds from deposit for items, which were replaced at the cost of the tenant. Tenant received partial refund for items, which were discussed and never disapproved by landlord. Tenant has logs, all receipts of work preformed, and all correspondence between Tenant and landlord. Landlord in several emails indicates several changes in her wants and contradicts herself in several ways. Landlord also has threatened and demanded items not associated with the terms of the lease. Landlord has now sold the home using all tenants fixtures and labor without replacing the items, which were supposedly, replaced using tenant's deposit.

Please beware of renting or purchasing any property associated with Rebecca Spustek. Landlord has horrible professional skills. She is basically a slumlord who manages property in the Old Mandeville Area and Uptown. Its unfortunate, but she compulsive liar Please contact me at this add for further details. Tenant has to take her to court to get return of deposit.

Misinformed Tenant

I have seen and have insight to all of the correspondence and incidents this tenant is speaking of. Most are exagerations of the truth based on a lack of communication and change of intentions of the tenant. A slum lord usually owns more than just one rental unit and the units are typically in bad shape. Not a beautifully maintained single family home in a great suburb. This land lord is one of the most upstanding and caring people I have ever met. She has sold her property because one too many tenants that act like children having tantrums because they have not read their lease. All it ever takes is communication. And not the type where a tenant berates and screams at the land lord. At one point in time there were land lords that abused the system. This has been fixed for many many years and has gone too far in the other direction and tenants become lazy and abusive and some feel they deserve compensation for unapproved work when, in actuality, it costs the land lord more to repair it because it was not done properly or with the proper licensing. Anybody that may read this (Rebecca is no longer a land lord due to this person) please watch out for the people looking for hand outs, the ones that don't like rules and feel they deserve whatever they like and will throw a tantrum and hold your property hostage unless given what they want.
All work performed was done without licensing.
Professional skills of Rebecca are impeccable, to a fault. Willing to bend over backwards to help.Tenant has cost landlord more in repairs than twice the security deposit [home inspection report]
