I purchased my spa from Rec Warehouse not knowing there were numerous even television consumer advocate complaints against the local company. They don't even belong to the local BBB. Unfortunately I have fallen victim to their constant belittlement when you complain everything is your fault. Luckily I have called the local consumer advocate back in
April and he has pictures and is just waiting for me to call him to air my problem with Rec Warehouse on television. You see I am trying to give them a chance. They just don't understand that one complaining customer will tell 25 people about their poor experience then 1 happy customer telling 2 or three. that's because they change manager's like I report my earnings quarterly and they are always young not experienced.

It all started when we puchased not only a 5 person spa Smart S-3 or is it a G-3 Series who knows because the instruction book is worthless, but a pool table and a pub table (warped) also. Over $10,000 of money spent. We started having problems with the pop up valves months after we purchased the spa from hell, which I was informed are not manufactured on the tubs anymore. The first manager took months to get out and repair the problems. Oh yes and to get a manager on the phone is like telephoning President Bush. I bet I could get him quicker. He is always extremely busy even if it is not a sales holiday like today July 4th or is mysteriously out of town and not known when to return.

When you go to purchase the $6,000 tub you get fabulous attention with salesmen jumping and pushing to get to you. But have a complaint and you are put on the back burner forever. It took months to get the pop ups repaired but the body of the tub was warping, fading, shrinking even though there was lifetime warranty it somehow was my fault according to them. Their repairman noticed that the waterfall was also not working and he had to order parts for that. they replace 2 sides of the body even though all sides needed to be replaced.

One year and a half later the special cover extra which is $300 is totally bowed and water collecting in the center and we were unable to lift it. I was told this was also my fault. then upon inspection I noticed there was a crack starting on one of the ends of the shell of the spat/hot tub, all my dials were rusting and I now have a spa that is not yet paid for but looks like it has gone through the Iraqi war.

I called the store and of course manager not available out of town and a rude and I mean rude and crude salesman (was really the assistant manager) just ripped me to shreds because I mentioned I was tired of the games and wanted someone to look at this mess. One week later a new manager calls and comes out to my home on April 8th, 2008. Promises me the world will repair everything but suddenly I have to seal the new base with something so it does not warp. Why wasn't I told about this when it was purchased I would have purchase something else. Months have gone by, heard nothing. My husband gets a phone calls and picks up some of the parts which we were told would be delivered and installed by them. But the repair kit is no where to be found they have 39 stores and others are ordering bright blue repair kits. My question is why are so many tubs cracking? How many bright blue spas are in the world? Repair kit on back order.

I spoke to the manager after he told whom ever (smart @#$) answered the phone that I wanted to speak to the manager. I was told he was too busy with a new customer. But can I help you. so I explain what my dilemma never raising my voice and oh yes the belittlement (do they have training at Recreation Warehouse for this) of the customer starts. I leave my home phone number. Thirty minutes later a very angry manager callse me and explains how he had called and this was my fault once again. I also was told he called me back even though I did not request him to and that I refused to leave my message for him to call me. But I gave him my home phone number so how did he have it if I did not leave it there. I was also asked by the smart @#$ that if he could help me and I explained and was told that I was complaining to the smart @#$. Funny I did not purchase a spa so that I would have to continually have to call to have it repaired. He also told me it was my fault that I was not in contact with them (you see my dear Mother passed). He mysteriously called and left a message. The repair kit is still not in This is July 4th, 2008. But my tub is still useable he told me and yes it is but I want one that looks the way I purchased it, accept now it is not running with a Sna code blinking and he said something went out on it, which now has to be repaired. Moral of the story never, ever, ever, purchase anything from rec warehouse unless you want to be demoralized, belittled with constant vitriolic conversations by men (why aren't there any women in sales there) who are old enough to be your children. He thougt he was being clever with me by trying to make me the bad guy but I will say I am tired of arguing with little people I just want my tub fixed. But what will it be next? The motor?

I will give them one more month and then I gues I will be appearing along with the original photos of what the cover and spa looked like on television.
