Responded to Craiglist ad - coaches needed for people in recovery, sent in requested information. resume etc.
the next day recieved a phone call stating i would be a great candidate and asked if i were certified? so of course i was not,
not a problem, we will help you get certified just study our information on line at "recoverycoachinstitute.com/training3.htm"
(which as you can see is so simple) then take the test at "recoverycoachinstitute.com/test1.htm" then send in payment.
next we will set you up with team leader for some training and orentation for just a few hours then we will send clients to you for coaching.
i asked Lance more than once are there really that many clients in need? He went on and on about how in need of coaches they were and that they would send me a continous supply of clients for as long as i needed them.
So i was pretty excited, did the course in one day easly (beginning to wonder how this could be this easy) the test was open book so that was really easy, but then came the payment! this was really strange, they must know about the credit card rullings because they wanted you to first go to walmart and send payment by moneygram to a company called NETSPEND??? I did. (with much doubt) next i had to send test results after clicking the send, the email link came up and i called Lance and said this does not make any sense it is sending an e-mail but with no attchment of any kind, his comment to the best of my recollection was "it's there you just cant see it he even looked on his computer and said yes i see it looks good you will get the grade by tomorrow, and start training right away."
That was the last time i was able to reach Lance, after a few days i got a passing grade e-mail then a few days later a very generic looking certificate.
so basically i spent a couple days and $95.00 for a worthless certificate.
all the details are on the links i provided and there is a link on the test page for the payment details.
So if you want to buy a worthless cetrificate then i guess this is the place.
But is sure is was a scam for me who was looking for a job.
