• Joshua M. Kane, 30, of the 1000 block of Carswell Avenue, Elk Grove Village, was arrested on a charge of retail theft around noon April 1 at the police department, 112 E. Northwest Hwy. According to police, Kane was seen on a security video taking 21 pieces of sterling silver jewelry valued at $249 around 3:45 p.m. Feb. 14 from Hobby Lobby, 1480 S. Elmhurst Road. Employees saw him in the jewelry aisle on two additional days, but he left without taking anything because employees were in the aisle. Employees noted the license plate of his 1957 Ford truck and an officer tracked the plate number. The officer found his name, address and photo and set up a photo lineup. Employees identified Kane and he turned himself in at the police station, reports said.

Josh Kane, aka Pikey Kane, the owner of Red Light District Studios, located in Elk Grove Village, IL was arrested for stealing jewelery from Hobby Lobby, yet he claims to make custom jewelery.  He will sell you a way lower quality, IF EVEN REAL, metal and charge you double the highest price for something that will turn your ears green in a month.
