Like many, I was struggling to keep up with my house payments and was in danger of losing my house. I owed my HOA $440 for past fees. They turned it over to Red Rock Financial Services to collect this debt. The account balance went to nearly $1000 over night. There is so much I could share but it would bore you but here are of ridiculous examples.
Send me a letter: $9.00, Several letters were sent that were $125 and $275. When I asked them why it cost so much to send me a letter there answer was "that's just what we charge." All toll, to pay off this $440 debt cost me nearly $2000. Shame on people like this who steal from the poor and give to the rich.

SUBMITTED: Tuesday, August 14, 2012
Red Rock Financial Services is committed to providing ethical and honest collection services to all our homeowners. Our efforts ensure that the homeowners in good standing do not have to pay for the non-paying homeowners; therefore, the delinquent homeowner is responsible for our collection costs and fees. Our collection fees are accumulative as we progress through the foreclosure process required in each state. These fees are charged against the delinquent homeowners. The same fees apply regardless of the amount owed; therefor, the amount that is charge per specific collection step is the same regardless of the delinquent assessment amount we are trying to recover for the association.
We encourage our homeowners to contact us throughout our collection process. Every homeowners association enacts their own collection policy that is followed by Red Rock and typically includes sending several reminder notices plus certified letters prior to a lien being filed. Red Rock is fully compliant with all laws and regulations that govern our collection process and fees. We are one of the lowest cost providers in our industry in all the states that we service.
We understand there are circumstances and hardships especially in these difficult economic times, and because of this we have created a program called Collections with a Conscience to help homeowners who are struggling to pay their assessments. Qualifying homeowners can request a submission form for this program by contacting us at info@rrfs.com.
Please call us directly at 1-888-95-RedRock to specifically discuss your concerns and how we can work with you to resolve them.
