Redwood Credit Union is NOT an equal oppportunity employer like they claim! I submitted my resume to the company's website to one of their job postings, and waited several weeks for them to call me back, but nobody ever did, so I decided to call them and find out whats going on. I left a message for the hiring manager to call me back but he/she never did. I then sent them an email to the human resources department asking why haven't I at least gotten a response telling me that I'm not qualified enough or something at least, but once again nobody responded to my email.

I realized at this point that the company doesn't care about peoples feelings, let alone somebody who would want to spend a good portion of thier lives working there! I finally gave up, when one day about a month and a half later, out of the blue I got a phone call from an extremely fast talking person (and I don't mean somebody where an old person couldn't understand... I'm only 27 years old!) called me and says his name is Bob and he's the hiring manager there and he wanted to tell me that first of all he needs to let me know that there is no way he would want to work in this department and he would quit if they made him work there, but I can go ahead and try to apply if I want? NO JOKE! He then starts blabbing on about how he would just explode if he had to sit on a phone all day and I should really think about what I'm getting into. I told him I've already been doing this type of work so it wouldn't bother me that bad and to please set me up with a real interview. He says the company will contact me and let me know whats going on. Guess what, I never got a call back nor any confirmation in the mail and I waited for another month or so.

Once again I gave up, and I don't know how I got on the subject but on a converstaion I had talking to one of my buddies that knows how the company operates, he told me that they only put the job postings out there so they technically look like they are hiring, but actually only hire through temp agencies? After hearing this I looked around on the Internet and noticed there was a temp agency called "AppleOne" that posted the job on their website so I applied to it.

The very next day a nice lady from AppleOne had me come in and fill out paperwork and talked to me about the job, which she said I was easily qualified for and would recommend me to the hiring manager at Redwood Credit Union. I figured at this point I should be able to get a real interview, but no. I got a call back from AppleOne who told me that since I already sent my resume to Redwood Credit Union first, AppleOne can't help me anymore and I have to deal with Bob now. I was also told that they would contact me but they obviously never did.

Now several months later I'm frustrated that I wasted my time with these *&*&, so I decided to send them a nasty email telling them my feelings, and what do you know? I got a call back right away from a human resources manager who I told what happened to, and she says they'll look into it.

Now, about a week later I never got a call back so I sent another nasty email telling them how they said they would get back to me but never did, and then I got some executive human resources lady who's name is Christina Derkos but her name might as well have been "Jerkos" because she was extremely rude to me and says I should be acting in a way to show that I can re-build the relationship with the company if I want to get another interview, and I'm acting irrational because I'm in a position where I basicly need to beg for another chance? I told the lady that I didn't appreciate her attitude and I was pondering telling the BBB and department of equal employement about my experience, and then she has the nerve to tell me that she would never hire anybody who tries to blackmail the company and that this is going nowhere, when all of a sudden my attorney calls me on the other line thankfully, and I told Christina that I have to go and I hear her hang up on me before I could hang up on her!
