REDWOOD PAPER Co. SCAM ARTISTS......BE AWARE!!!!

In the many years of wholesale and retail business, I have never seen such a scam as I just experienced.  Last week I received a call from a woman with a "heavy" Jamaican accent trying to tell me that I have an order in house and that she needs to confirm shippping.  She claimed that we had an order in house for register tape.....we are a wholesale company....what do I need register tape for?  She rattled in a language that I found very difficult to understand.  I did tell her numerous times that I cannot understand what she is saying.  The conversation ended with her asking my business title and name.  Later that day, I get a phone call from the "owner" of the business telling me that I am to pay the invoice.  It is ironic that just yesterday I spoke with my bookeeper who said that a full case of register tape arrived that was not ordered and was the wrong size.  We order all of our product from Staples and have no issues.  Speaking with the "owner" she became extremely abusive and loud when I told her I did not authorize this order.  I then explained to her that it was a great trick for her to have someone call telling us we have placed an order and want to confirm our shipping information.  They also ask for the name of the person they are talking to.  I also explained that having a heavy accent person call and try to talk to you like you have a business realtionship with the compnay is very sly.  I notified her is a very direct man or that I did NOT authorize the order and that what they did was a scam.....or con.  I notified her that I am sending the product back.  She screamed at me on the phone saying that I will not send the product back.  I again explained that what her compnay did was a scam and I will not be a part of it.  She asked to talk to someone of authority, I explained that I am the General Manager.  She yelled at me to get my boss.  I explained that I am the boss.  She then asked for who is in charge of me.  I explained that the one person in charge of me is the owner of the company who is not in town.  I am the General Manager and I am the one in charge of the business when the Owner is not here.  She then yelled to speak to my bookkeeper.  I hesitantly put the rude owner of REDWOOD PAPER on hold and transferred the call.  My Office Manager picked up the call and was immediately slammed with vulgor language at a very high tone.......she was yelling!!!!  By Office Manager was able to understand that she asked for the person in charge....which she replied......you just spoke with him.....he is the General Manager and the Boss.  The "owner" continued to scream where then my Office Manager reminded her the we are sending the package of non authorized register tape back to it's point of origin.  She then hung up the phone and I went to our warehouse to print up a shipping lable for return.  Now, I am out $21.00 for having to ship the product back. 

Item of note:  the terms on the bottom of the packing slip indicate No Returns after 10 days. 20% Restocking Fee on all returns.  No cash refunds, credit only.  2% interest per month on overdue accounts.

*I have read other responses to complaints of this company and wish I would have researched.  I now know that there are fraudulant companies out there who will go to all means to be dishonest.  I have consulted with all my employees to NOT do any transactions over the phone.  All transactions will be done with a po....no exceptions.
