I applied for a job a couple of months ago with this company from a criagslist ad. They advertised a starting salary of 40k per year as a management trainee in customer service. It sounded good, so I called the number and got this unusually perky hispanic female who invited me for an interview the next day without even asking what my qualifications were. I thought that was a little unusual, but I needed a job at the time so I let it slide. When I showed up the next day at their location in north miami (closer to miami lakes actually), I went into the office and signed in. The first thing I noticed was two very attractive and young hispanic females in a small reception area.
One answered the phone and told the caller that they were very busy in the office but she could squeeze that person in for an interview the next day. I was the only one in the office other than those two. To add to this atmosphere, they also had the radio volume turned up so high I could hardly see how she could even hear the person on the other end of the phone. When I asked her to turn it down, she looked at me with a scowl and turned it down so slightly I could hardly tell a difference. After nearly 10 minutes of sitting there watching the two of them fiddle and faddle with some paperwork, another person came in. One of the young ladies greeted her and them asked the two of us to come into her office for an interview.
At this point, I was very suspicious. She told us that she would do two interviews at once because of time constraints. She began by asking the two of us various questions about ourselves such as what type of personalities we have, what would we do at a party, what kind of hobbies we enjoyed. When I finally asked her if she would like to hear about my resume and qualifications, she sighed and said, OK, you seem very eager to tell me, so why dont you go ahead. So I did so. Oh, and by the way, I am a college grad with 15 years of management experience and the other candidate was still working on her GED.....but seemingly we were both the same in the eyes of the interviewer. I should have known something was up right then.
When I pressed her to tell me what kind of job it is specifically and what product or service this company sells, she got very short with me saying: "I am doing the interview here, not you." I was taken aback and said "Well, I have a number of other interviews this week, so I am interviewing you as well." She then said "You are not fit for this job, so I am going to ask you to leave." "OK, I said...but I am not sure how you can make that determination because you havent asked me any questions at all that have anything to do with customer service management." I then turned to the other candidate and told her to pay attention to what is going on. The young lady then ushered me out of the office.
Beware of this company. Any company that does not want to tell you up front what kind of job it is advertising has something to hide.

She did you a favor

Honestly, she did you a favor ushering you out and acting like a horse's behind when you asked questions that ANY NORMAL PERSON WOULD ASK. After all, who wants to work for commission only, peddling stuff that no one wants in parking lots. Not only is that a dead-end job, it is f'ing humilating.
