RelayRides ripped me off with unfair additional hidden charges San Francisco Nationwide

I rented a car for 1 day from RelayRides. First time user of the service.

it was $80 for a day, plus $10 insurance and $8 fees etc

ok so i paid up as i needed a car in a hurry and it was local to me

The owner and the car iteslf was fine, but when i came to drop it off next day I got stuck in traffic.

i texted the owner and he said sure just extend the reservation.

i applied for a 30 minute extension on the rental dsahboard in the App, which did not mention anything about any charges.

I was still 2 hrs under the 24hr rental period for 1 day which i had paid for, so i was very surprised when i checked the billing statement to find that they had charged me $37 for the additonal 30 mins due to "adjustment fees"

This is a hidden, underhand way of making money from unsuspecting customers.

I have never been charged a late fee for a rental car in my life and I wasnt even late! 

I complianed to support@relayrides.com and after 4 days they bothered to reply to flat out deny my request for a refund of the charges. They just said it was clearly stated and that i agreed to it - complete lies from them.

Needeless to say i will never be a  customer of RelayRides again
