I went looking for a moving company on the internet to do my move. I found reliance relocation and looked them up with BBB. I also read all of the companies customer ratings. I was duped. Customer service took my inventory and gave an estimate of $3200.00 for 4800lbs of things. I was told that the pickup would show me a before weight and an after weight this never happened. All of a sudden my weight was 6800lbs and so of course my price went up. I gave a deposit of $546.00 over the telephone before anything was done. I never got any contract. This company then took and sub-contracted to this other company to pick up my thinkgs. Two very small guys arrived and brought in day laborers from my town to do the heavy work.

They started rapping and taping everything and anything they could find. I thought all of this was included in their service. I did my own packing just to save money. I had called customer service about having them pack 3 tv's and 2 computers and I was told that they would throw that in with my price. (NOT). At the end of loading the guy wants $2000.00 to take my things I talked him down to $1000.00. Thats when he started adding every piece of tape, every pad, every box he had used and brought my price up by $689.00.

I told him I was calling the company to complain. Asi or Aji thought this was funny. So he left on a Thursday with a delivery date on Saturday. I waited and I called him on Saturday to find out what was going on. He then informed me that I needed to pay another $2800.00 to get my things. I explained to him that I did not have that kind of money. I am a very ill woman with disabilities and I had told him this. I cried and pleaded to get my things as soon as possible and to be reasonable with the price. This went on the entire day that Saturday. He told me about surcharges and fuel charges, things that up to this point had not been mentioned. So I talked him down to 2100.00 more and it was all I had. At this point I used my debit card and paid him another $1700.00. I had to leave my living room furniture and a very nice entertainment center because they could not bring them down. So that day he promised me a Tuesday delivery he never showed. I got my things the following Saturday from Allied Movers. How did they get me stuff?

Well the first thing the guy tells me is I need 546.00. I told him you bring my things in and I will pay. He said he would leave if I did not pay so I did pay in cash. Because at that point all I wanted were my things. So then they bring the stuff in but they had someone elses furniture in front of mine so they took out all their things and had them laying on the lawn of the complex I live in and then started to unload my things. I got all my things but not in one piece. I had broken tables and a ripped queen sized mattress about half way.
My grandsons bike is broke. The casing of one of my TV's was dented really bad in several places and a broken bookcase. I have not even reported my things to the company because what I hear from others they just ignore any claims. Or they prolong paying for damages. It was a first time move using a company and I was both devastated, dissappointed and broke. I will never use a moving company again. First their customer service people need to be proberly trained so that all those hidden charges are explained in total to the customer up front. If I am going to purchase something I do not take $200.00 to purchase something that cost $300.00 because I will not be able to buy.

I was a newbie to the process and I was taken for a ride. But you live and learn. Never pay 1 penny up front, get a contract, know who you are using and don't trust anyone. Total cost $3792.00 + tears + anxiety + damages = never again. Reliance Relocation and Agi or Asi thanks for the ride. (NOT)
