Mark stevenson owner/licensee of remax townsville was an unlicensed financial adviser with storm financial in townsville Queensland the company went bust with losses totaling $3 billion mark stevenson conned many elderly clients some suffering from dementia in to using the eqity in their homes to obtain equity loans from banks to invest in the share market mark had his elderly clients sign loan applications and later falsified their income details many of storms clients were the elderly or retirees many of these people would have no way of ever obtaining loans to ivest obcene amounts of money purchasing share portfolios had the true state of their finances been known some did not even have the financial means to service the loans
