Remington College - Mobile Campus Lies, Drama, and Deceit Mobile, Alabama

When I first applied I was told there was an externship for
my program when the school knew there wasn't one, it had been canceled long
before I got there. The career services department is a joke. They tell you
from the beginning to come see them for help with job placement, but when you
ask for help they tell you to look at the bulletin board & they are still
trying to place students from years ago into jobs. There's a LOT of drama. Most
of the drama stems from the instructors who are not supposed to 'fraternize
with students except to assist with class assignments.' They sit there &
share personal information with students which gets the student to share
personal information & the student, believing the instructor is a decent
person, doesn't realize that same instructor tells her co-workers & other
students as well. There are a few instructors up there who are close friends
& text each other messages during class instead of teaching us something.
There are students who leave the room & sit in another instructors room
(& get away with it by both instructors) & still receive credit, good
grades for doing nothing while the rest of us are working for our grades. The
instructors don't teach all the materials they say they will & we sit in
class a lot doing nothing, going over something again because people just
either didn't come to class or were sitting in another instructors room. There
is a lot of favoritism, racism, hatred, drama, lies, false advertisement that
is going on at that 'school' that really need to be looked into with a powerful
microscope. Remington has an instructor who screamed at a student in front of
her class for asking another instructor a question, another instructor who not
only screamed at a student in front of two classes, but screamed at another
instructor and got away with it, but it has also had two people who have either
submitted resignations or just up and quit recently. There are a students there
right now who will be stuck there for awhile longer who are treated very badly
on a daily basis. When you ask who they can speak with, your told the
instructor. Its the instructors causing the problems & allowing other
students to join in on it & say stuff too. Remington has a huge habit of
sweeping their problems under the rug & allowing people causing the issues
to get away with it while the ones who are trying are being punished. I can
honestly say that the only reason I decided to attend Remington was that
externship. If I had known what I know now, I would never have attended that
school & would have saved myself $14,695. I am not the only one up there
who is dealing with issues. The rest of the students are literally afraid to
say a word to anyone because they fear being kicked out of school after having
paid that much money. Is Remington a college where you go to learn or just
another version of the Jerry Springer show? My advice is to stay clear of this
"college," you will not get what you are promised and you will waste
money.
