I booked the pickup of 4 boxes from Springwood, QLD to Campbelltown, NSW. I was provided initially with a quote stating the day and time for collection. After paying the full amount I called the company on the Friday afternoon to confirm that the boxes would be picked up between 7am and 10am on the 29th March as stated in the confirmation email I received from them. The manager was great, said everything was booked, they had received my payment the job was on schedule. by 10.30am on the 29th we hadn't received the half hour away call to prepare as stated and hadn't heard from the company. I called and asked when the truck was due. Quoted my booking number...

What followed has left me completely shocked. I literally quoted the number and then there was silence, followed immediately by the most abusive, offensive tirade from the same Manager I spoke with on Friday. He wouldn't allow me to speak, told me he didn't speak to me Friday, then told me I called at 5pm and everyone has gone home and no trucks could possibly be booked. He wouldnt stop yelling over me no matter how I approached it and I eventually relegated to begging him as calmly as I could to try and offer some rationality to the situation to give me a moment to talk. While he was talking over me I tried to ask what other days there were to negotiate another pickup. Suddenly the tone worsened and he was yelling stating that he could have trucks in Brisbane Wednesday, Thursday or when ever he had space after that and I'll be called half an hour before its due when ever the truck is in the area. The person that has the boxes is an hour away from the location and cannot wait there day after day for unlimited days awaiting collection. He would not offer me alternatives, was so incredibly abusive and completely dishonest.

All of this was unwarranted and unnecessary. I asked for a refund so I could arrange an alternative company and he yelled at me that since I am cancelling on the day the job is due for collection I couldn't get a refund. When I tried to ask him to stop yelling at me and please discuss the issue rationally as it was his company breaking the agreement he name called me and told me to write an email with my account details and he 'might' give me a refund after cancellation fees. Then he hung up on me! The company gave me in writing, confirmation that the job was booked for the 29th between 7am and 10am. They didn't comply.

I came off the phone in complete shock. I cannot imagine any business running successfully this way and from the looks of researching my rights and this company, this behaviour is routine for them. 

I must add that I moved my entire house with them earlier in the week and the reason I had 4 boxes left over was due to the truck running out of space. I completed the inventory but somehow it was all wrong. They also arrived a whole day early and I had to cancel my last day at work to get back home that morning and then pack the last of my things in a crazy chaotic rush. I honestly didn't mind this so much at the time, these things happen and we worked it out. The Truck driver certainly did no sing the praises of Removal.net and told me that if he wasn't able to come the day early I would have to wait over a week for another truck. All of this seems to fit in with every other dilemma I have read about. The initial move was a big struggle but it ended up fine. This time around I am out of pocket, have no boxes and have been exposed to a human being that should not ever deal with consumers. He is everything that has been reported here previously and honestly, just launches into abuse without inspiration from the consumer and is really dishonest. I highly recommend not ever using them.
