RentBuyQuick.com Took $500, from my dad actually, and disappeared from the internet, Internet

All started in July, 2017, my parents wouldn't cosign for an apartment for me and my dad paid $500 to this "company he found online". Well, they did absolutely nothing even when I repeatedly contacted them, then when I said I wanted a refund, they said since I was breaking contract before 90 days I would only get $250. Didn't get anything, and now they seem to be defunct. But I would be wary of any internet cosigner service- there are several out there-my dad kept recommending them to me. My mom (they are divorced) was all excited about this. Okay, they are in their 60's and so not only did they end up lending me money, helping me move (I found an apartment without a cosignor), but now they are out $500.
