I recently purchased a chemical based neck and shoulder warmer called "Repeat The Heat" by AromaO2. The sales pitch and demo were effective as was the way the presenter covered up how to regenerate the device after the first use so that it can be used again.

The pitch was primarily in comparisons to other similar devices that require the use of a microwave oven to activate. The Repeat the Heat device is activated by clicking a metal tab in the fabric. Now the microwave devices take about 5-10 mins to heat and the Repeat the Heat device takes about 10-15 secs.

I purchased 2 of the devices for $55.00. When I got home and took them out of the bag a slip of paper, never mentioned in the demo, showed how to regenerate the device; Wrap device in a towel, bring a large pot of water to boil, boil device for 90 - 120 mins, after chemical is regenerated shake device to ensure chemical is evenly spread! Oh and if the device isn't sufficiently covered with cloth while boiling it will stick to the pot and effectively ruining the pot!

What? The heat in this device last about 1 hour and it takes 2 hours of supervised regeneration to use it again!!!
SAVE your MONEY and DO NOT buy this product!!!

I have one and no complaints

AUTHOR: Vibe2005 - (USA)

I have to say that the instructions on mine do not state any "boiling" time for bringing the item back to its original form.

However, it does not need to be boiled 90-120 mins. I boiled mine back to its original form in approx 15-20 mins.

You have to have the water boiling before you drop the item in and bring it back to a boil and watch it so that it goes all

the way back to the gel form. Like I said 15-20 minutes NOT 90-120 minutes.

I would purchase other forms of this item. I have the shoulder pad that goes over both shoulders and I love it.

I have shown this to my friends and showed them how it works and they would purchase them also!

Also my instructions, state just to put a wash cloth down on the bottom of the pan. I have to admit that I was hesitant with that but I did follow the directions and nothing happened to the product.

All in all, this is the key: Follow the directions given with the product!

Everything was explained to me

Can't speak to your experience, but the salesman in the Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles) mall did explain the regeneration process to me, he even had several pads in a pot of boiling water. It only takes around 15 min or less for them to regenerate.

I love the pad, it gives a nice, deeply penetrating heat. And it's fun to watch the solution crystalize and feel it heat up.

But their waranty is odd. They won't give you your money back, but they will replace it if you ship them the defective pad plus around $10 for retun shipping. As I spent $15 for mine, so after paying to ship it to them, and paying for return shipping, the deal is pretty much, if your pad doesn't work, you can buy another one.

Repeating the Heating

AUTHOR: Buying it and Trying it - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 05, 2014

I purchased 2 shoulder/neck pads and 2 lower back pads and have loved them for over a year now. I put the shoulder/neck pads in the frig in the summer to cool me off when I mow the lawn and put them under my coat during the winter to keep me warm. I have found that it only takes about 10 minutes to melt the pads back down for reuse when I wrap them in a dish towel and boil them on the stove. From your post it sounds like you misread the instructions and then posted without actually using the product. In the winter I keep a crock pot filled with water plugged in so I melt one while I use the other. I wish you would give it another try because mine has helped me 100% with my stif joints during the cold winter months and probably saved me from heat stroke in the summer. Hope this helps
