Reptilefood.com Excellent customer support!

AUTHOR: dmcrose - (United States of America)

I have been ordering from Reptile food.com for a few years now, and find their bugs and customer service to be top notch. Most of the time, the bugs arrive in great condition and are exactly what I order. On the rare occasions when bugs were dead or they are the wrong size or species, Reptilefood acted immediately to remedy the situation.

You will not find better customer support as even the complainant admits. I, too, think this report is bogus.

I just placed another order with this company and will continue to buy from them. Excellent bug company!

I have ordered from this company for nearly 15 years and have never had a problem with them.  The counts for their insects are way over, the insects are healthy when they arrive and any issues are dealt with by their customer service department in a prompt, professional manner.

I am highly skeptical of this report because in nearly 15 years of dealing with them they have NEVER used carrots for moisture during shipping, always potatoes. Their crickets are shipped with eggcrate no matter what size the crickets and with the smaller size crickets the potato is braced between 2 pieces of eggcrate so it cannot shift.  I know because I have ordered just about every size cricket they sell.

I think this report is bogus!

Carrots, food/water cubes, and replacement policy for Reptilefood.com

AUTHOR: Reptilefood.com - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Unfortunately, when the flooding occurred in Iowa earlier in the year, it caused problems for the company who made our water/food cubes that would normally accompany our smallest of crickets. The crickets need food and water to travel. Our temporary solution to this situation was to use carrots for the food and water supply of the 1/16 and 1/8 crickets. For the majority of the orders we shipped out this worked just fine as the baby carrot wedged itself under an egg crate and did not move. However, there were cases when the carrot would be smaller than normal and would work free from the egg crate and roll over some of the crickets. Upon notification of any of these instances the customer would receive an immediate replacement order completely on us and with next day air delivery. If the customers 2nd order arrived in the same manor we would try shipping the next replacement via special harvest in a tube without the carrot. This usually did the trick, but the crickets arrived very hungry and very thirsty. If Mike would have let us know that he continued to have problems, we would have definitely tried a special harvest for his next replacement.
We have now gone back to the food/water cubes which we used before with very little incidence of crickets arriving DOA. If Mike would like to contact me at service@reptilefood.com with his original order number I would be glad to send him his replacement.
