Initially when I was pre-approved to purchase my home, Residential Finance was all for it. Once I gave them the closing date, I have never been treated so rude in my life. Every Friday at 5:00 I would get an e-mail after several attempts from not only myself, but my realtor and the title company about the closing. They pushed the closing date back without even contacting me. Let me tell you how they ruin your credit. I got a letter from them asking me to explain 'why these 6 creditors pulled my credit; out of the 6 creditors pulling my credit was - RESIDENTIAL FINANCE CORP were the ones who pulled it FOUR times. That's how they ruin your credit. I got several e-mails from the guy I was working with literrallly yelling at me.
This was the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. At first they told me 'no problem, we can get the loan closed in 6 weeks'. 3 months later, they told me they were questioning 'why' I wanted to by a house 50 miles from where I was currently living. That is what one of the reasons for the hold up was. NOT RESIDNECY, but 'why' I was doing it because it was 'to far for me to drive to work'. Really? Is it any of thier business 'why' I want a home 50 miles from where I live? I have ALL the e-mails going back and forth. He would yell at me via e-mail and then not respond until Friday at 5:00. Then he basically refused to work with me and had his 'supervisor' work with me. He was just as bad. Funny thing is, my husband changed jobs and they were so happy to say, 'NOPE' now we can't approve you. That was the day of the closing. He accepted a better paying job closer to home and the didn't approve us and the is the EXACT reason they denied us after putting us through the ringer for months. I still continue to get the 'blind mailings' from them saying 'hurry and contact us for a quick approval'. This company is horrible with horrible customer service. Would never recommend anyone use their services. I saved every e-mail from them 'yelling' at me.
