I have been attempting to secure a mortgage with this company.  The first problem started a couple of months ago when my mortgage brokers: Jacqueline Sendra & Michelle Immel misplaced paperwork & failed to submit items to Chase in a timely fashion.  I had to wait 4 months for my initial mortgage to be approved.  I have excellent credit (over 800) and put 20% down so I know the problem wasn't me.  I had to repeatedly call and email to get updates and to move the process forward.  Most of my attempts at contact were ignored completely.

Unfortunately, by the time my mortgage was approved, most of the coop board members at the apartment I was purchasing were on vacation. I then needed to wait an extra month for my coop board approval.  Because of the delays Residential Home Funding has caused me financial harm - I have had to pay 2 extra months of rent ($1370 per month * 2 = $2740) and I have had to pay an additional $150 for an updated appraisal since the first one expired.  I have now asked Residential Home Funding for an extension on my commitment letter.  At this time I am unable to set a closing date because the company will not give me this extension on the commitment letter.

I have contacted my brokers: Jacqueline Sendra & Michelle Immel as well as their direct supervisor Brian Pool.  I have reached out 4 times to them to ask for an extension on the commitment letter & I have still not received a response. They have not even acknowledged my emails. This negligent behavior is unprofessional and harmful to customers.

Residential Came Through & Helped Me!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 21, 2015

Brian Pool was kind enough to call me & assist me personally with this situation.  He explained that Chase needed updated documents & that they were working to get those so that they could issue me the extension on the commitment letter.  He has really worked hard to ensure that I can close this mortgage and finally own my own home.  Brian has been a great help & genuinely cared about resolving my issue - which was refreshing.  He certainly knows what good customer service is!
