My family and I were in Hilton Head, Sc when a lady approached us outside of a restaurant about listening to a time share spiel. So, we listen to the salesman talk about how great the properties are and you can stay all over the world.  Then he shows us the property there in Hilton Head and its nice.  He says you stay in 2 or 3 bedroom condos for less than what you would pay for a hotel.  Then he shows us the price and we politely say no thanks.  Then they bring another guy in with an even lower deal and we say no thanks again.

We go to collect our money and the guy says well, how about if you can stay in a condo but you don't have to buy the timeshare - instead it is a vacation club and you pay an enrollment fee of $1600 and a processing fee of $395 and after that is paid you just pay $159 per year and it lasts forever.  He tells me how you can stay in luxury condos with 2 or 3 bedrooms for $200 a week and if you travel international then it is like $300 per week.  I tell him that we do not typically stay for one week in one place.

He says no problem, this would be perfect for you guys.  I tell him that when we travel we stay 2 to 3 days here and 2 to 3 days there and he says yeah, you can do that.  He also tells us that if we happen to be in an area where there are no condos nearby, we can stay at a hotel and save money on hotels because they are so discounted.  Also, said you can book a cruise and save a lot of money.  So, I thought it sounded too good to be true.  And after we signed the paperwork and you have to wait a few weeks for stuff to come in the mail before you can actually look through all the condos and hotels(oh and their cancellation policy is 3 days after u sign paperwork which is before you can actually access the website).

When paperwork finally gets in with my login info, I begin browsing through the condos and I type in multiple destinations all over the country and US and nothing is $200 a week.  Most of them were $350 and up and that is for a one bedroom! Also, it does not look very luxurious.  In fact some of them look gross to me.  Also, you have to stay a minimum of a week. Oh and their cruises are same price as online as well. So, the salesman flat out lied!  I called the Reservations number and she tells me I would have to stay a week minimum.  Which will not work because most of the condos are not in areas you want to stay in.

Which means you will have to drive to go to the destination.  The Reservations lady tells me I could stay at a hotel and their discounted hotels are the same price as the internet ones such as Expedia or hotels.com-in fact the same exact price.  So I paid $1800 and $150yr to save no money!  So, I am really feeling duped at this point.  I tried calling the Manager and no answer and no return phone calls.  I tried emailing all the emails on the cards given to me and No answer back! This is not a professional company! People out there please heed my warning- do not be tempted by the money they offer you for listening to their spiel.  They are liars!  Please if someone approaches you - Run- don't walk- run!!!

Resorts Anytime fixed the problem

AUTHOR: Army2003 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 10, 2013

I was contacted by the Manager today with an apology of my dissatisfaction and I was offered a refund.  I am pleased with the response from the company.

My advice is for anyone considering the vacation offer- if you are someone who likes to stay in one resort for a week at a time then the program may work for you.  There were more resorts to chose from than some of the other timeshare companies I have seen. Also, From what I observed the prices would be less than a hotel and you would get more amenities than a hotel would offer.  However, if you are the traveler like me who likes to bounce around places and never stay a week anywhere then this is probably not the program for you.
