Respond Power LLC Blatent lies and false promises Nationwide

Blatent lies and bait and switch is the name of the game here. I was promised a fixed rate with no contract when I signed up, only to have myt electic bill double despite using 50kwh less than the prior month. When I called, they first told me I was being prorated after switching from PPL, however when it was still double the supposed rate, I called again this month only to find they were charging twenty cents per kwh instead of the prmised fixed rate of just under nine cents per kwh, and that if I wanted to, i could sign a year long agreement with them to get eleven cents per kwh.

Even better, once I called them out on it, they lied to me blatently and told me that PPL charged over thirty cents and that no one was under twenty, despite the posted ppl rate being under nine cents and both thier rates and everyon elses on PApowerswtich.com being under ten cents. I was then told if I wanted to cancel it would take two billing cycles at their inflated rates which, according to the customer service rep, is expected to go even higher in the next few months. They told me I had signed up for the variable rate when I had been told by the "gentleman" when signing up I was getting a fixed rate, and that I could cancel at any time during a billing cycle.

Major warning to never trust or use this company.
