I received this email from a Linked in subscriber. It was a solicitation to be a mystery shopper. Since it came from a Linkedin subscriber I thought it might be legit. This solicitation was a scam.
They try to lure you in under the pretense of being a mystery shopper. This is the best scam I have seen so far. All looks kosher until they send you check drawn on a company they have nothing to do with. You are asked to deposit the check and buy Paypal prepaid cards. This procedure did not pass the smell test.
This is the first scam of this sort I have encountered with LinkedIn. I am shocked and disturbed by the fact that it came through their website. I guess nothing is secure.
