Revco Inc. Dishonest Company cheated employees and screwed the customers even more Lakeland Florida

I worked for this company for one day. It's a home improvement/remodeling type company and I was a telemarketer trying to set appointments. I was told to ask all types of personal questions.

If the person or persons spouse was in the home improvement/remodeling business we were not allowed to set appointments for them. When we asked the person where they lived and what their profession was, we were told to lie and say we had a family member in the same profession just to get a personal conversation started.

This company targets the elderly. Many people who I had to call said they had already told someone from this company to take them off of their call list, but the company had not done so. I also had to tell the people, when I called them, that the company was talking with some of the people on their street. This was not true, the computer did all of the dialing for us and it dialed many numbers in many different cities.

I quit because the environment was unethical. I did not like being told to lie to set appointments. The superviser said to tell the people we will not try to sell them anything when we set an appointment, we will only show what we have to offer, this also was not true.

I was told I would make $7.00 and hour and on my check I made $5.50 an hour, I believe it was. Also, I set one appointment which meant I was suppose to receive an extra $25.00 on my check, which was not there. I was later told I had to be there 7 days to make the $7.00 an hour and the person I set the appointment with had to buy a product in order to make the $25.00. This was not what the superviser originally said.

I would not buy anything from this company nor work for them again. They're unethical and want you to lie to make a sale. There's no telling what else they're lying about. (Their products).

I would advise you not to do business with Revco Inc. in Lakeland, Fl. The superviser Mr. Charles Brown and this company are unethical and will lie to you. They also told a friend of mine, who went in for an interview 30 minutes after I did, that they were not hiring anyone else. The following day, when I started work, he was doing more interviews (with women) and hired another woman.

My friend is a male, which makes me thinks he did not hire him for this reason.
