We purchased a 42 inch sony tv with an extended warranty from Rex tv. The quality of the picture became poor and we called and rex had a repair person come to the house. He replaced the bulb for it and said there was an additional problem with the television and would have to get authorization from rex tv to fix it or they would give us a new tv. Rex decided it was not worth fixing, however they were not offering a new tv to us either. We purchased our tv for $1200.00 excluding the price of the warranty and now we were told that they would give us $500 towards the purchase of another tv from them. I wrote an email to the corp. office and received no reply from them. This company does not care about customer satifaction or repeat business. Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with them.

You know they are closing ALL their stores, right... You may find your local store to reopen as a TV Direct ( I think thats the company who bought them out)

I worked there for 8 years at corporate and find them to have been a very good company to work for. If you sent them a letter, did you do it registered. Here is some additional info you may or may not have:

I have a 26 inch I bought back in 1988, still wroks fine and have never had any issues with them honoring warranties. Due yourself a favor, dont deal with the local store anymore, IF, they are still open.

Stuart Rose - CEO, is a very good honest man and if you are intitled to be fixed or exchanged, it will happen. He doesn't operate like your post suggests.

Im sorry you are having issues. Be patient, Im sure things will work out for you.
