I contacted Jessica at RGVPuppies.com on December 28, 2008 to buy a Chihuahua puppy for my 4 year anniversary. She did not answer when I called so I sent an email asking her to call me because my computer wasn't working. Low and behold I got a call about 10 minutes later from her. She told me that she did have the little female I wanted still and told me I could pay through Western Union or Money Gram. I told her that the only way I would buy a puppy over such a long distance was through PayPal. She then told me that she had lost her PayPal card that lets her have account of her money. I told her thanks for the call but no thanks for the puppy. About five minutes later I got a call back from her saying that she was able to get the order through PayPal and to my PayPal account for me to buy "Maria". I Did not know that this was going to be the last time she and I was going to speak on the phone.

I paid 927$ through PayPal for this puppy that very day. It seemed like it took her forever to contact me two days before the pup was supposed to be sent. I got a TEXT from her saying that she had been out of town and that she just got back. When she called the airlines the date that I wanted the puppy to get to me was full so I had to pick another (even though she told me she already made the flight plans the day after she got my money which was 5 days earlier).

Much to my relief, I got my puppy. She was filthy! She stunk and had feces all over her fur and feet. I took her into the bath room and washed her off with warm water and paper towels. I Then held tight in my arms and talked soothingly to her to calm her shakes. That night when I got home, I gave "Drama" aka "Maria" her first bath at her new home. As I was cleaning her little ears, I noticed a wad of yellow gunk in her left eye that would not go away no matter how many times I wiped it. When I went to her crate to retrieve her paperwork, (vet records, Guarantee, and registration paperwork) it was nowhere to be found. I called Jessica. No answer. I text her. No reply. I emailed her. No anything.

The next day at the vet, I was told little Drama had severe conjunctivitis and I was given a mound of antibiotics for her. Days passed with no contact from Jessica. As the days passed, Drama's hair started falling out! I took her to the vet, and to keep her warm I stuck her under my shirt against my skin since she hardly had any hair. The vet took one look at her and said "She has mange. It is the K9 form of Scabies." Then she asked if my husband or I had any rashes. I showed her the spots on chest area where I hold the puppy and on the small of my back where Drama likes to sleep because I sleep on my stomach. So needless to say, my husband and I spent the next week and a half scratching our skin off. People can contract K9 Scabies, but the scabies cant reproduce on human skin. the severe itching is from the female mite digging her way into your skin to lay her eggs!! The vet told me and my husband to take a little bleach water bath and that should cure it. His went away.......mine got worse! I finally got to the point where I took half a bottle of bleach and dumped it directly onto my skin while sitting in the tub. It burnt like nothing before. I was burning to the point that I wanted to cry but I laid down in the bleach so my lower back was coated. It was so painful but the burn made the itch feel better.

After second degree chemical burn. The doctor prescribed me some RID to make sure that all the mites were gone. I washed myself and the dog in it two or three times. Drama's little hair is starting to grow back now so she isn't a Mexican hairless anymore (LOL). This whole situation was embarrassing to me. I love Drama to death. She is such a playful little thing. I can honestly say that I have bled for this dog, (bleach burn) but I do not wish another one of these infested pups on someone else. Jessica Benavidez is a liar, a fraud, and a poor excuse for a human being. PLEASE, DO Not buy a puppy from RGV puppies. They really get under your skin, I would know.

They responded very quickly. Nice. Okay, I sent them an email and added many links to complaints. They said to have all you guys file a formal complaint with their complaints department. Then they may begin an investigation and a breeder may lose their registration rights. You guys could all probably still register your dogs in the picture, witness deal as well I would think, but be sure to ask. Their website is easy to look up in case it gets taken out by the mods but it's CKCUSA dot com. Good luck. Please keep posted.

Hi Latoya

Latoya... have your vet check your little one for ringworm.. they have to take some of the puppies hair or scrapings from her in order to tell if its really ringworm...or they also use something called a woods lamp.. its almost like a black light... but it sounds like it is resolved now... Humans can also catch ringworm.... the rash is circular in shape and the hair will fall out in the shape of a circle also.. our little one went on medicatin to help clear it up...your vet should be able to prescribe something for the puppies dry skin...

As far as Jessica... I am going to try to reach the animal control agency in McAllen, Texas.. to see if there are any complaints against her in that City or State. I suggest you do the same...I will keep you posted .. Good luck with your little Drama.... : )
