My 20 year old daughter thought she was purchasing a puppy through a Walmart third party seller.  Was instructed to pay at Walmart and puppy would be delivered to Walmart to be picked up.  Walmart charged debit card but upon closer inspection (and an additional email requesting special accomodations to ship the pet) it was discovered that the Walmart charge was in fact a wire transfer through RIA Financial Services.  A call to RIA Financial Services fraud department was a waste of time.  We were told that because the criminal had already collected the money from the Walmart location funds were wired to, there was nothing they could do about it.  I was also told that my daughter should have known it was a wire transfer and "Can she read?".  Obviously, the Walmart charge is being disputed through the bank but I encourage readers to not involve in any transactions with Walmart third party sellers (even if they are "trusted").  And consider not shopping at Walmart altogether as they accept no responsibility for the actions of their partner companies.
