In May, my CrediCure account was taken over by the Richard A. Brennan, Esq. DBA The Law Office of Richard A. Brennan. For the first several months, my creditors were paid, albeit late. My checking account was debited on Augst 1st for $453.00.

In late August I began getting collection calls from my creditors saying they had not been paid. I called The Law Office of Richard A. Brennan (LORAB) and spoke with Selma Santos. Ms. Santos assured me that the payments would be going out on September 1st and any late fees would be covered by LORAB.

On September 1st my account was again debited for $453.00. I called on approximately September 18th because I was still gettting calls from my creditors for non-payment. I spoke with Tiffany. Tiffany told me that my accounts were being held until I decided if I wanted to take a settlement plan that LORAB had offered. I was not informed of this information when I spoke with Ms. Santos, nor was any information included in either letter I received from LORAB dated August 24, 2006 and August 31, 2006. I told Tiffany that because the company had not handled my account properly, I felt that it was a breach of contract on their part and that I should be refunded for my initial deposit of $453, in addition to the August and September payments of $453 for each month. Tiffany told me that the initial deposit would not be refunded. She told me that I needed to fax a letter on cancellation to LORAB and instruct them to refund my account and stop debiting my checking account. I sent a letter containing a demand for refund and a demand to stop ATCH withdrawals from my checking account. Tiffiany told me I would receive a refund on the 1st of October.

On October 1, 2006, I called my bank and the promised refund had not been deposited. I tried to call LORAB and got a message that they would be closed until October 9th. The message also said that messages would be returned. I left numerous messages, none were returned. I also sent several emails to Richard A. Brennan. None were returned.

On October 9th, I called LORAB. I, again, spoke with Tiffany, this time she told me that refunds would be going out on the upcoming Friday - October 13th. My account was not refunded on October 13th. In fact, LORAB attemped to debit my account again on October 12th! Thankfully, I had the good sense to put a stop payment on the account.

On October 16th, I called LORAB. I spoke with Selma Santos who told me she didn't know when refunds would be sent out, but that they would be sent out. I also complained about the attempted debit to my account. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told the supervisor Mattea Hartlove (or a last name very similar) was unavailable so I was given Hartlove's extension number and asked to call back later. I repeatedly left messages with Hartlove, but none were returned. I kept calling daily for the next few days.

The last time I called, I spoke with Selma Santos. She kept telling me that no supervisor was available, but that I would get a refund. She kept saying, that I would get my money back "Okay". I told her it was not okay and at that point, I broke down in tears. She told me to hang on and put me through to her supervisor Mattea Hartlove after several minutes. Ms. Harlove would not tell me any estimated date of refund, nor did she show any sympathy for my plight (I am struggling to get caught up on two months worth of payments while they have my money!) She was very rude and basically said there were alot of refunds to be issued and I would get mine when they got to it. Not so much as an apology. This company is supposed to be helping people solve their debt problems, instead they are making the situation worse.

It is my opinion that LORAB is holding payments in attempt to force their clients to sign on to a settlement program, by holding their payments so long that the creditors drop them from the debt managment programs.

Partial refund from Fidelity Reserves formerly United Christian Financial

AUTHOR: Toni - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 05, 2007

I was able to obtain a partial refund from Fidelity Reserves formerly United Christian Financial. They refunded my initial deposit, less $75. If your initial deposit was through United Christian Financial, I urge you to contact them. They are very familiar with our story and promptly sent out a refund. (Just goes to show you that they, too, believe that Richard A. Brennan is stealing people's money!)

This does not reflect positivly on the Law Offices of Richard A. Brennan. This refund was NOT from their office. They still owe me for two months of payments in August and September for $906 plus the $75 that they cost on the deposit. Total $981.

We to have had an up hill battle with these people. Unreturned phone calls, unanswered emails, and the list goes on. Our crediters where never payed on time and the phone rang constantly from these people wanting there money. We informed the LORAB that a stop payment would be put on the account.

Today, we recieved a phone message from someone claiming to be a representative from LORAB. The call looked like it was from someones home on the caller id. They must be outsourcing now since the guys english was so broken up I could only make out half of the message. But, I did understand that they were charging us $45.00 or $35.00 because we stopped payment.

GOOD LUCK, LORAB! We tried to email the person that we had been in contact with before, it was undeliverable. Imagine that! We have since been in contact with the BBB and other state agencies here to see how these people can be stomped out. Stay Away!

Still no refund

It seems to be nothing but lip service from LORAB. I got a call a week ago from Ms. Santos. She was asking us to be patient about our refund. They are "working on it." Uh, yeah, right.

Today we received a packet of information trying to switch us to Golden State Debt Managment. I just want my freaking money back. I refuse to ever do business with anyone associated with LORAB.

After posting this report, I again called LORAB. This time Ms. Santos told me that I would not be refunded for the months of August and September. She said I would only be refunded for September, because August was to pay the previous month. That is a giant load of crap! What business, particularly when dealing with individuals who have had difficulty meeting their financial obligations would front the money and then collect the next month? NONE!

Then on 11-2-06, I was contacted by Tiffany, who said her manager told her to call me because I had "questions". I have no questions, other than "When will my money be refunded?" She also informed me that in order to get a refund, I would have to fax back to her a copy of a form that she was going to e-mail me.

Mr. Brennan, your words don't speak nearly so loud as your employees actions. I have been met with indifference, disdain and down right rudeness (particularly by Mattea Hartlove). I am demanding nothing more (though I should ask for late fees) than refund.

Lack of preparedness on the part of you or your company does not constitute a right for you to retain my money.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Former CrediCure clients

AUTHOR: Richard - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 02, 2006

We represented CrediCure and possessed not involvement with United Christian Financial or USA Debt Management. As far as we know CrediCure did not have any common ownership with USA Debt Management (DBA United Christian Financial).

Numerous problems occurred with CrediCure's closure and my firm was not prepared for the sheer volume of issues. We have desparately tried to keep up and research the problems. We sought out a competent agency to take on CrediCure's clients, but could begin transferring them over until late July. We have been steadily doing so and attempting to speak with each and every CrediCure client to review their accounts and payments.

We do need orderly assistance from CrediCure's clients in order to timely address their issues. For instance, we need copies of statements mailed to us so that we can track down payments and payment histories as we do not have complete records from CrediCure. Our mailing address as posted is good until December 1, 2006.

We only wish to assist and have attempted to accurately relay information and provide the options available.

Sincerest regards,

Richard A. Brennan, Esq.
