This is the 2nd time this has happened to me, needless to say i am not yet a victim i never followed through.. I posted rims on craigs list, actually my husband did. this guy richard emails us and says he wants to buy the rims and to take it off the list, and he was sending the check my mail and he will have his mover move them tohis location. My hair stood up and i looked at my husband and said, "watch this guy, he will send u the check, its a fake, u cash it at our bank and wire him back the money because he will over pay u" my husband ur nuts! So guess what happend? I got the check in themail today, i called the bank in Nora cali, gave the teller the info, and the checking account was closed do to the identity fraud. some hacked intothe computer and stole the info. I called my husband and told him the check came for the rims, he said u know what to do, varify and call them... well i am from brooklyn and i know how the addresses work. the addy i got was 40-31 202 street in bayside.. the addresses dont run that way, only in brooklyn. so i looked up where the check was written from, and i got RICHARD SMITH CPA, I looked that up as well, and no such person and no address exsist.. do they really think we are stupid. so this guy richard sends a check for 1500.00 and the rims were on craigs list for150.00 so this guy told my husband in an email that his sec-tary over paid himby mistake and just to wire it back VIA western union.. Bull s**+* Dont fall for people on crags list. wait till u have the CASH in hand. Stacy
