I am writing to inform many consumers about "Mad City Roofing." This was a great company in Madison, WI until they decided to let a storm-chaser, now general manager, Richard Spanton Jr. After doing research on Rich Spanton Jr, not only have I found a violent past, but I have found numerous cities that he has set up his storm chasing operations after buying in to existing local companies to deceive homeowners. Unfortunetly Mad City Roofing is now the new owner of a bunch of out-of-town crooks, selling themselves as the original Mad City Roofing.
Doyle Roof Masters-Victim. Once was a well respected company in the state of New Mexico, now has more then 40 registered complaints for anything from over-charging homeowners to not standing behind their warranty.
Mastercraft Exteriors-Victim. Once again, this was a well known, very highly respected company in Minnesota, but still is under operation as A.K.A. RSJR Inc./Richard Spanton Jr. buy-in. Now this company will have to clean up the mess after the Spanton family leaves town to find another hail storm/scam.
Please see the "State of Wisconsin" vs Richard Spanton/RSJR Inc on the public circuit court records. This is evidence of the violent past people speak of this Spanton family. It seems to be that these hail storm chasers are like Gypsies. Pillaging all towns/cities to come in their path. It is unfortunate that the state's capitol has to be plagued with this disease/disaster all because of one family's GREED!!
Please do your research before signing a contract with this company. Because they will pillage for all you got!!!!

MadCity Roofing has been the victim of numerous false accusations due to the jealousy and envy of certain individuals and other roofing contractors in Madison, WI. It's a shame that a false report had to be concocted in attempt undermine a solid business such as MCR.
Our company is operating today under the same ownership and ideals as it did in 1998 when we began in the great city of Madison. My brother Kris and I have not sold our business to any of the names listed in the fragmented and grammatically incorrect attack aforementioned or to anyone else for that matter.
Due to recent roofing demands caused by the unfortunate recent hailstorms, we have had to expand our business in order to accommodate our existing client base as well as thousands of new customers seeking MCR's assistance. We have brought in management consultants, sales staff and crews we've used in the past as well as hiring seven new college graduates with prior contracting experience of which most are from the UW.
Although we have grown rapidly in recent months due to the high demand of our clients, MCR still operates under the same fundamental premises we started our company on in 1998. These items include our unmatched customer service record that earned us the NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) contractor of the year award 2005 and 2006, an excellent BBB reliability program record, Elk Peak Performance Contractor, GAF Shingle Masters Elite Program, Owens Corning Preferred Contractor and we were recognized by the Consumer Protection Agency of Wisconsin for the past two years as a company to do business with. We have thousands of past client references and thousands of recently served clients this year to validate our expertise and craftsmanship.
Normally we disregard petty false claims such as these by simply ignoring them as just another jealous roofer. However it is important to MCR that all of our customers be assured that our business is better, stronger, doing more work than ever and that there is only one MCR which has always and will always stand behind its principals and warranties.
